You will not be able to mine those coins for profit without a specialized ASIC miner and unless your electricity is basically free.

I suggest you try becoming a Steem witness. A Steem witness basically mines Steem but it doesnt really matter how powerful your hardware is. The more votes from the community your witness node / mining node gets, the more coin you can mine. It's a much better concept imo.

That's true. But that's hard, and i think that for making money on steemit you need some luck.
I just had some good posts, as i think, and i didnt get 1 dollar.

I know what that's like. Just like with Twitter etc, you need to have a good amount of followers before you can earn much on your posts.
