RE: How To Register Your EOS Address To Allow Deposits Before The EOS ICO Ends June 1st, 2018

Im asking the same question.. Im using Metamask and as far i know, registering is only possible on the eos/distribution site. Since it involves two completely different blockchain of which one doesnt even have its mainnet up yet.

I could be totally wrong too though. In any case this post has been a good reminder to have my address registered before the launch.

Sort:

I registered mine manually on Exodus and then also on MEW. There was a link to a public/private key generator that I associated with my ETH address during the registration process.

So I have possession of a private key to access my public EOS address when it goes live.

I just have questions about this automated process concerning how a private key is obtained.

meaning there's potential risk Exodus might get a peek of the keys?

Sorry bout the late response, I was not told anything about a new key, it only said it will handle it all within Exodus.

Since Exodus updated to version 1.48.0, the registration of your EOS address may be done from within Exodus. With other wallets, you would have to export your private keys and visit the EOS website.

This means the exodus application will handle all the keys from within exodus.

You will have to either read the tutorial yourself or read info from eos.io's website.
