A decentralized loyalty ecosystem - qiibee

One of the most used loyalty methods for clients is represented by loyalty points. This is one of the cheapest ways to bring new sales because it is a well-known fact that attracting a new customer is up to seven times more expensive than a sale that is made to an existing customer.

Today's competitive environment is getting stronger and cost for attracting new customers has increased significantly.

Customer loyalty can make the difference between success and failure.

On the market, competition is intense and customer retention has become very difficult to achieve. Companies prefer to reward customers for loyalty to the brand.

What are the downsides of the current fragmented system?

The companies who create their own loyalty program are confronted with operational inefficiencies, due to loyalty programs that are not compatible with each other. Moreover, client data is stored in a database, being easily broken by hackers.

An example

Let's take as an example a beauty salon that offers loyalty points for a particular service (epilation, hairstyle, etc.). Once a certain number of points are accumulated, you get points on a membership card that can be used at the beauty salon to get a discount on the next service.

In the evening, you want to go to the cinema. You get a discount coupon again. But can these loyalty points can be cumulated?

A good news - qiibee

The good news is that qiibee wants to unify this market with blockchain technology. So, the purpose of qiibee is to create a loyalty program based on blockchain technology for companies.

All loyalty programs contained within the platform can be tokenized, so users can exchange points from one program with another. Qiibee's platform solves these problems and customers can easily exchange the points earned in Program X for points to spend in Program Y. Great, isn't it?

Customers will be able to store all loyalty tokens earned in a wallet.

  • Transforming the budget into loyalty tokens.

The companies have a developer kit available from qiibee. Also, it is very good to know that qiibee offers support to customers looking to integrate.

History of qiibee

It was founded in 2015 by Gabriele Giancola. Prior to this project he also founded gratis-auto.ch. In the present, there are more than 75,000 users and 900 brands who are using this system (such as Subway, Burger King or Swiss Federal Railway). So, qiibee build an impressive user base and establish valuable relationships with companies.

In an interview for Block Tribune, Gabriele Giancola says:

(...) By accessing our developer kit and platform, any company can easily decentralize and tokenize their loyalty program and, in turn, the entire ecosystem is connected by the qiibee wallet, where customers can store all loyalty tokens earned and exchange them within the community.

Qiibee help brands run their loyalty programs on the blockchain.

In the White Paper it is says that:

Customers have transparency over their own loyalty programs and all other programs on the platform. They can collect, redeem, exchange, send or receive loyalty tokens on the platform. Since all loyalty tokens are backed by the qiibee token, customers will be able to trade them for FIAT or other cryptocurrencies.

So, in this way, customers will always have control and transparency about their loyalty tokens.

Thank you for your post, well written for sure! Loyalty Programs however remind me alot of the ones in the movie called "Ready Player One".
