News are not moving crypto anymore.
In 2017 and in start of 2018 many cryptocurrencies were moved by news and FUD around it, like China ban crypto or Korea ban crypto, or something positive like new technology( of course only announce ) and all these news moved crypto!
It was nice time , because many made a lot of profit, but now market is matured and news don't give anything, only if something super huge can move market.
Today 3rd January we had 2 news: 1st Proof of keys ( many people withdraw crypto from exchanges to wallets ) and some guys thought about Trump vs federal agency will affect crypto too. But as result crypto is same price as it was for days, so in fact this kind of news cant move crypto anymore.
In my opinion its good for market in longterm, because small coins will NOT gain free jackpots to the moon and strong coins steady will increase in prices, but in another aspect there will be much less interest from people for crypto, because volatility is not as high as it was year and 2 years ago. People felt alive like boom +200%, boom minus 50% and it was like advantage of crypto it was like gambling, and now in red market we only see some super small moves and all depends on bitcoin.
I think we need to be more independent from bitcoin for altcoins because else crypto will stagnate and we will not see moon.
What you guys think? Will altcoins be more independent from bitcoin? will news affect crypto in future?
I hope for some independency from bitcoin. When I go through my Tradingview watch list, it's all the same chart no matter the coin! So really, there is no need to watch more than one chart until we have some decoupling, lol. There are so many other projects with different types of tech completely from bitcoin, yet still follows the same patterns.
