EasyDex Exchange Explained

EasyDex is a new BitShares-based cryptocurrency exchange offering all BitShares features plus trustless account recovery, cheap bitcoin gateway, fast fiat bridge, unmatched support, and more. So far I had only positive experience with it, that’s why I decided to write this post.

BitShares Features

If you are not familiar with BitShares, it is a decentralized digital exchange platform built by Dan Larimer, the guy behind EOS and the cofounder of Steem.

Some advantages of BitShares over traditional trading platforms are:

• Decentralization and security. When a centralized exchange is compromised, the impact is very high. In a decentralized system, any failure impacts only a small part of the system. Also, on BitShares are technically impossible some practices known to centralized exchanges such as high-frequency trading, front running, or hidden orders possible. All traders are on a level playing field.
• Price-stable cryptocurrencies (also known as smartcoins or pegged assets). A SmartCoin is a cryptocurrency whose value is pegged to that of another asset, such as USD or gold. SmartCoins always have 100% or more of their value backed by the BitShares core currency, BTS. BitShares users don’t have to convert their tokens to fiat currencies (like USD and EUR) to stabilize their holdings.
• User-Issued Assets. Yes, users can create and distribute their own tokens on BitShares platform. BitShares allows individuals and companies to issue tokens for anything they can imagine, like deposit receipts, company shares, event tickets, rewards points, individual or corporate debt, crowdfunding, and more.

Trustless Account Recovery Options

If you created an account using EasyDex, there’s a trustless account recovery mechanism in case you ever need it. Until now, if you lost your Bitshares web wallet password, you lost your funds. No more on EasyDex. Through a simple process, the user (and only the user) can recover their lost password.

Cheap and Fast Bitcoin Gateway

The minimum transaction fee on EasyDex is set to 3000 Satoshis, which is much lower than a usual exchange’s fee. You can always set a higher fee to make double sure that your withdrawal goes quickly.

Another feature that sets EasyDex Bitcoin gateway apart is that the transaction is sent right away. The moment you send the withdrawal you should see the transaction pending in your wallet. No more worries about where your tokens are.

Fast and Efficient Fiat Bridge

Before EasyDex, it was complicated to put fiat money (like USD or EUR) from your bank account into your Bitshares account and vice versa. With EasyDex you can directly transfer fiat money to the Bitshares platform and back.

If you want to withdraw your tokens to fiat, simply transfer the fiat-backed tokens you would like to withdraw to the easydex-fiat account, put your BTS name in the memo field, and EasyDex will do the rest. You’ll receive a message when your withdrawal is processed.

Portfolio Builder Token

EasyDex Portfolio Builder Token (EASYDEX.PB) is designed for investors who want to maintain an ever-expanding portfolio of a variety of crypto tokens.
