Basically since most energy produced is usually lost( due to the fact energy can't be stored efficiently or storing energy costs more than making more energy itself ) bitcoin mining gives another use for this energy preventing it from being wasted and giving it value. Yes not the best but the stats saying bitcoin mining is completely wasteful is not true.

Are you looking for short term pumps or long term holds?
Mostly long term. These coins expect bitcoin cash have a future.
I will have to look into some of these. I have spent most of my time researching coins similar to Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM).
Ripple and stellar lumen are banks coins. If you look at my other reply to you i explain more in depth.
