1 tb blocks? This got to be a joke.

If you are not aware bitcoin cash believes bigger blocks= scaling
But really planning in the future on adding 1 tb blocks for a measly 7 Million Transactions a Second
https://news.bitcoin.com/7-million-transactions-a-second-research-paper-declares-1tb-blocks-feasible/
Really? I like big blocks but their defense is huge blocks can be done because of fucking moore law? Moore law has a small limit. It no more lets make it smaller it builting it top or using complete diff materials
not done yet. http://www.businessinsider.com/the-limits-of-moores-law-2013-10
There is however, a physical limit. Transistors cannot keep getting smaller infinitely. Experts say that with today’s science, Moore’s law will reach saturation in a decade. Many remain skeptical; with computing power increasing exponentially, there’s no telling what technologies we’ll develop. Transistors are already smaller than viruses. Perhaps in a decade they’ll be the size of molecules and Moore’s law will still hold good!

It possible but you see we are reaching limits. Like how some people in bitcoin thought that the limits won't be touched it touched....
You see the lightning network is capable of millions to billions of transactions per second source= https://lightning.network/
While not using much space :)
However the lightning network even when released will only do about a million transactions a second. It will take about 3 years more just to reach a half of billion transactions a second. Honestly core should do a temporary scaling solution of 5 mb to deal with the problem short term keeping people happy and work on some other scaling solution aka https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@sames/here-are-all-the-plans-bitcoin-plans-to-scale-without-increasing-block-size while companies are working on the lightning network. Sorry just had to rant.

Sort:

If blocks of One Terabyte are necessary so sustain the block-chain. Then we can finally declare BTC obsolete.

Why through? The lightning network can do a billion for less than a mb of data albeit it will take 6-7 years to reach 1 billion

I thought that the point of blockchain was to push new blocks to other nodes. How long would it take to send a 1 tb block.

I guess I don't understand enough about blockchain then.

no the point of the blockchain is to record in a decentralized matter if you want to know how the lightning network works: https://99bitcoins.com/what-is-the-bitcoin-lightning-network-a-beginners-explanation/

1 tb would take how much the block time is if it 1 minute block time then in 1-10 minutes 1 tb of data could be processed dependent on hashpower.
