Marketing Chance for SMT? Pitch at Venezuelas President Maduro!
The PETRO is coming!
First of all, I am glad they do not call it PETRO-Dollar. This would have been quite a stretch.
It seems Maduro, president of Venezuela announced a new crypto coin emerging to save the desolate state of Venezuela.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro looked to the world of digital currency to circumvent U.S.-led financial sanctions, announcing on Sunday the launch of the “petro” backed by oil reserves to shore up a collapsed economy
I really don't care much about the blaming game, if it was socialism that destroyed the economy or US sanctions guilty of Venezuelas downfall. But I love the idea of a crypto currency backed by oil reserves. Now it would be key to find a non-socialist ( I mean non inflationary, non-keynesian) way of designing this currency.
never change a winning team
Well... to say that Steem is a winning team, would also be kind of a stretch, even after the last pump on the markets. But Steem is on its way. And Steem probably could handle the requirements of a kind of stable currency on the SMT level.
WHY NOT PITCH IT?
When the idea already is out, this is kind of an opening-pandoras-box-moment.
Which other currency could probably do the job of speed and scalability better than a Steem SMT?
