EFFECT.AI & IT'S EFFECT FORCE (DECENTRALIZED MECHANICAL TURK)

INTRODUCTION
Artificial Intelligence is intelligence demonstrated by machines/computers, this is different from the one demonstrated by humans and other animals. Under the computer science field, Artificial Intelligence is the study of "intelligent agents", from this definition, we can assume that a device can be termed “intelligent” if it perceives its environment and then take actions, this actions should maximize its chance of success at some goal.

Data processing is a big problem of AI. Basically, Intelligent devices perform task that almost always require human interference. These tasks would involve the processing of unstructured data and/or finding patterns that can enable the intelligent device provide optimal output. The act of processing the unstructured data and/or finding patterns is a big redundancy. It is a waste of machine time and resources.

Diverging Tasks:
Another problem of AI is the problem of diverging tasks. Imagine the development of an algorithm that flies an airplane. This algorithm must also account for other incoming planes, to avoid collision. This means that an external application must be added to the algorithm, hence the algorithm almost quickly becomes complicated.

Computational Costs:
This is a big problem of AI. Developing an AI is expensive. When developing an AI, a technology that is capable of processing huge quantities of data is needed, this technology should also be able to coordinate the outputs that comes from the processing of this huge data. Hence, you can. deduce that the development of an AI is expensive.

THE EFFECT.AI SOLUTION
With all these problems said, how do we proffer a solution?
Now, this is a question that has bothered the world of AI at large. The EFFECT.AI proffers a solution that is very efficient. This solution involves the use of a blockchain which provides a straight and direct link between the supply and demand. We all know that blockchain provides transparency. This transparency provided by the blockchain will boost accessibility and discoverability on the network. This would result in collaboration and data sharing between agents, thus mitigating the problem of Data Processing and Diverging Task. THE EFFECT FORCE (Decentralized Mechanical Turk)
The Effect Force (Decentralized Mechanical Turk) is a marketplace. This marketplace is a private and decentralized. It also requires human intelligence for now. It models other popular marketplace that are centralized. These models includes Amazon, OneSpace, Guru.com etc. The Effect M-Turk is worldwide. The peculiarity of the Effect M-Turk over all other centralized models is the peer to peer services which the M-Turk offers. The Peer to Peer service means that supply and demand connect directly, thus making it more efficient. Let us see how the Effect M-Turk works through a real life scenario.

Caleb is working on an algorithm, he requires a task to enable his algorithm work perfectly. This task is cannot be done currently by computers. He goes on to Effect M-Turk and becomes a requester, this means that Caleb provides job offers. This job offers are called Human Intelligence Task or HITs for short.

Aina has just been laid off from her place of work. She is looking for a place of employment. She hears about the Effect M-Turk from a friend. She goes on to the Effect M-Turk and registers as a worker, this means that Aina can choose a HIT that appeals to her. Aina sees the HIT provided by Caleb and then decides to do it.

Caleb and Aina then come to an agreement on how much EFX the HIT is worth.

Once Aina completes the HIT, the EFX provided by Caleb which is tied to the completed HIT becomes hers. This has greatly helped Aina, as she no longer searches for employment, instead she devotes her attention to the Effect M-Turk. Thus, the M-Turk has provided employment for Aina.

Once the HIT is completed, Caleb retrieve the results from the Effect M-Turk. Caleb then uses the results to train his AI algorithm, hence his AI algorithm works perfectly. This way, Caleb has been provided with access to a scalable and distributed workforce that is provided on-demand.

Aina can be excluded/included from some HITs based on certain criteria. This criteria could include location, gender or age.

Also, some HITs provided by Caleb could be completed by Artificial Intelligence or bots. The Effect Network does not discourage this. Creators of functional algorithms receive payments once the Artificial Intelligence completes the HIT. This leads to the Effect Network’s second phase known as EFFECT Smart Market.

FAIR & INSTANT PAY:
Once Aina completes the HIT, a fair and instant pay is given to her. This fair and instant pay ensures that HITs are priced efficiently and also instantly. This would attract users to the Effect Platform, thus making fully decentralized AI blockchain possible. Also, other people who have a job to earn some extra money.

MICRO-TASKING
Micro-Tasking is a process that is used to split a large job into smaller tasks. These tasks can be distributed to many people. We all know the saying “two heads are better than one”, but in the case of micro-tasking, it is “many heads are better than one”.
