Interesting thoughts for the future that I have also been thinking about as there continues to be so much AI and machine learning in everything we do these days. It feels like there will come a time when an algorithm will define you and that is truly sad and unacceptable in my opinion.

Well I think you're aware of the Chinese Social Credit system. That pretty much is an algo defining the value of each person, and dolling out favors and restrictions accordingly, down to what jobs you can apply to and whether you can take public transit. They are also one of the foremost countries in AI research. We can learn much about what may come next here (or attempt to) by watching other nations.
