Getting in touch with Crypto for the first time

in #crypto9 years ago (edited)

Hey folks, back again with my traveling journey around Bali but this time, I am telling my experience where I visited the Bitcoin office at Bali. For so many reasons, I really love to settle there because everything is easy and accessible not to mention the beers that I could get easily which I couldn't in other city at Indonesia. I've written several articles about Bali and you can find the link by the end of this story.

My boyfriend and I was traveling without so much plan in head so we were kind of spontaneous and rely on google a lot especially when it comes to restaurants, indoor activities and hangout places. We were only traveling with two backpack which was only filled with two pieces of clothes and gadgets. There were like too many gadgets in hand and in the future, we would love to simplify some gadgets to only a few and with a lightweight laptop.

This was also my first experience getting in touch into crypto world in a real time although I know it before hand because my boyfriend was mining burst coin. So, just after we landed in Bali and settled into our hotel, My boyfriend showed me a map of Bitcoin store and he's really eager to buy some. He keeps bugging me to go and voila, the next morning we walked to the store while also hanging out around beachwalk which has this amazing rooftop overlooking the ocean.
But....
By the time we reached there, we remember that it was Sunday and that the transaction is closed. Then we walked for about 4 km while I complained a lot along the way for not checking the calendar. We kept on walking and walking, ended up feeling exhausted.

The next morning, we got our motorbike and decided to go back again so we could be free exploring Bali. Honestly it was kinda odd to find me riding a motorbike while he was on the back, it was such a queer sight that i was sure everyone was looking at us. He doesn't know how to ride a motorbike which was an easy and flexible transportation in Indonesia, if only he'd knew I believe he'd be a better rider than I am.

As soon as we reached the office, there are some rules to follow which one of it was " no picture" policy. Well, we aren't the people who love taking picture or update our every movement at instagram or snapchat so it was fine with us.The staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions while also giving us business card in case we have some questions. Although, I've read and watched numerous information about it, I just can't seem to explain it in a dummy way. Like can someone explain it in a simplest form without all those complicated vocabulary such as " decentralized, block chain, hard fork, segwit"? can someone really link me to an article that explain the crypto like explaining to a toddler? because if you can, that means you've grasps the whole point of it isn't it?

I honestly wasn't much into it because I was only focused being a content writer and I just shrugs whenever my boyfriend excitedly talking about crypto. yet now we're helping each other promoting and explaining crypto to our friends and to people who seemed to be interested. But again, It's kinda hard to pick a vocabulary that's in the middle of sophisticated and easy for people.

So yeah, that's how I know about crypto and how I started getting in touch with that. I wish I had known it earlier when the price was relatively really low but well with all of things that happened in the market it's kind of exciting. Also I get to learn about some economics terms which obviously is not really my expertise.
