Kucoin - The People's Exchange
As Crypto gains more traction with 2017 slowly coming to an end we are seeing more exchanges open their doors, welcoming traders from across the globe.
A new member to the mounting number of exchanges is Kucoin. I only found out about Kucoin because it is the only exchange that offers Redpulse, RPX, which was the first coin released on the NEO block chain.
Having Participated in the Redulse ICO, naturally, if I wanted to sell my tokens I needed to use the Kucoin Exchange. It is a new exchange and has relatively low volume on the platform, but it does offer users some cool benefits that differ from the bigger exchanges.
Currently Kucoin offers 37 different pairings with BTC, not bad for a small exchange. It plans to add several hundred more before the end of 2018 in hopes of becoming a top 10 exchange by the end of next year.
Does Kucoin have a chance to become a top 10 exchange?
Too be honest, your guess is as good as mine. There are some things that I do like about this exchange though that separate it from the rest and I will lay them out for you.
KCS - Kucoin shares, this is the token created by the exchange. Its purpose is similar to binance's coin HOWEVER, KCS is also a deflationary coin, meaning the exchange will slowly buy back half the KCS shares on the market and burn them. This is a great aspect as over time half the supply will simply vanish, create more value for KCS holders.
On top of that, 50% of the fees from all trades on the platform are returned to KCS holders. This means the more KCS you purchase and stake, the more passive income you receive. It's not a revolutionary idea but it adds value to it's coin and exchange.
Referral fees. On top of the 50% fee refund to KCS holders, people who bring in new people to the exchange receive a percentage of all that persons trading fees. Similar to multi level marketing, without the investment needed. Sweet contests! I've only been on the Kucoin exchange for about a month now, but in just that short amount of time they have run some pretty cool contests. If/When volume picks up, using the exchange can become a nice source of passive income for doing things you are already doing on other exchanges. Thanks. Yeah the exchange is not bad so far, beside the few free coins you get for signing up, the bonuses come from holding the KCS token, the more you own the more you save and are rewarded. It’s not going to make you rich overnight, but if you can save $1-2 on trading fees it will add up over time
Good post. I've been looking at this exchange too but have run into a problem: I can't seem to turn the Android app to English? Is it just on my system?
There should be a toggle button in the top right hand corner that allows you to changes languages. Its on the homepage, lots of options
