Find Jobs That Pay in Crypto - BIG List Of Crypto Job Boards

in #crypto6 years ago (edited)

There are a great deal of work opportunities for people who know their way around cryptocurrencies. You'd be surprised to know that the crypto community has quite a lot of job boards that exclusively work with cryptocurrency. With new freelance platforms popping up every day, I thought it would be a good idea to list some of the best existing ones.

If you have a specific skill-set, you should have no problems finding yourself a small gig that pays you in Bitcoin or other forms of cryptocurrency. Even if you're looking for a small job that doesn't require any skills, you might be able to find one when you scroll through all of the websites listed.

List of CryptoCurrency Job Boards - Freelance Platforms - Gig Marketplaces

✔️ = At least 10 jobs posted in the past week

4CoinGigs

This is a relatively new website that has been around since December 2017. In terms of appearance and functionality, it kind of reminds you of Fiverr. This service doesn't seem to be very popular, as there are less than 10 jobs posted. Maybe it will take off some day, but then it would need much more marketing.

BitcoinTalk Services Section ✔️

Bitcointalk is the oldest cryptocurrency related forum in existence. Their services section is a place where you can find a lot of crypto related jobs. There's quite a lot of demand for graphic designers and writers, but you'll also find occasional low-effort jobs. This is definitely one of the most active boards on this list.

BitGigs

This board seems to be fairly active, with a few new offers posted in the past weeks. They have a 'Fun/Bizarre' category, which has some pretty funny listings in it. I've also seen some jobs posted that don't require any skills, such as data input for example. This one might grow a bit more in the future.

Blocktribe ✔️

Blocktribes is a job platform that focuses on catering to highly skilled professionals who want to find a job specifically in the blockchain industry. You'll find jobs for some of the most well-known blockchain companies. Their focus lies in offering permanent positions and to a lesser extent, remote positions.

Coinality

Coinality has been around since 2016 and has quite a few job listings, though it's definitely not as active as some other services. It might be worth it to apply on some of the older jobs, but overall you'll probably have more luck on other websites. Around 10 jobs are posted each month.

Cryptocurrency Jobs ✔️

Cryptocurrency Jobs claims to be the biggest blockchain job board on the web. While I think that there are certainly bigger crypto-related job boards, this one certainly seems to be pretty active. They feature some of the most sought-after jobs in the blockchain industry. They have a wide range of exciting new start-ups among their customers, which offer both remote as well as full-time jobs. Very interesting if you have the required skills for these sorts of jobs!

Cryptogrind ✔️

This service is also similar to Fiverr, featuring the ability to post small gigs. It might be useful to post an offer where you advertise one of your skills, some people have successfully earned a significant amount of Bitcoins on this website. Also handy if you're looking to get small jobs done. They have more than a thousand jobs listed!

Crypto Jobs List ✔️

Crypto job board that features quality positions at blockchain companies. They regularly add new listings and even have some really weird positions such as 'Meme Specialist'. You don't need to create an account to view the full listing. Enter your e-mail address to receive notifications of new job openings.

Steem Gigs ✔️

As the name suggests, Steem Gigs is a platform for finding small freelance jobs and it runs on the Steem blockchain. I'm personally having a little bit of difficulty using their website, listings take a long time to load. It's very active though, so given that you're already on Steemit, it's extremely easy to find a gig without even leaving the Steem platform. You can check out their Steem profile @steemgigs

Reddit - Jobs4Bitcoin ✔️

Very active subreddit to look for jobs that pay you in Bitcoins. They feature both small as well as full-time jobs, dozens of job offers are added daily. Do remember to use escrow, the moderators are not responsible if you get scammed.

Reddit - Jobs4Crypto ✔️

Similar to the Jobs4Bitcoin subreddit, but here you can find jobs in exchange for different cryptocurrency. Fairly active, but looks like most of the jobs are added by just one user. Other users do list some small jobs, so it could be useful to check out from time to time. Using escrow is advised!

XBTFreelancer ✔️

Bitcoin job board that has been around for quite some time, it's also very active. New job offers are posted every hour and they all receive multiple bids. They do not seem to be accepting new sign-ups at this time, but keep an eye on their website to check when they're opening sign-ups again.

Conclusion

With this massive list, you should have no problems finding a job that will pay you in cryptocurrency. I've tried to avoid listing too many inactive websites, to give you the best chances at success. Always be very careful that you don't get scammed! Never send money or work upfront, unless you're dealing with a provably trusted employer. Use escrow if that's an option, better safe than sorry.

Great post, thanks. Upvoted and followed you!

Great list!

Pretty soon everyone will pay in crypto. We will need lists like this for jobs that don't, lol!

We are thinking of doing T- shirts... printed to order......sell through here using sbd or steem
what do you think...?

How cool! Lol I already have two people who want them

lol - really? lol

Quite interesting! Will have a look at them next week.. resteemed because I think many people would like to know this..

Thanks for the upvote and resteem! Writing useful articles like this is definitely something I enjoy the most :)

Excellent selection - I know some of those sites listed by you but others are new to me. Thanks for compiling this list :-)

Can one really earn something with these jobs? Or is it most of the times just a few cents per worked hour?

I've personally earned more than 30K through the Bitcointalk forum alone, so yeah it's definitely possible ;-)
These other websites sometimes list full-time jobs that pay up too 100K per year, for companies such as Circle.

Sounds pretty cool.
Guess I need to learn coding instead of my financial expertise I have right now?

Can I be so curious how you earned your 30k? And in which time frame?

Over a couple of years, just by posting on the forum actually :) Been a member there since 2013 and in those early says it wasn't unheard of to earn a couple of BTC here and there.

Nowadays you have to put a lot more effort in though, just to rank up there. If you get to Legendary rank, that would basically earn you up to 200 dollars per week, just by writing 25 - 30 posts or so.

Check out this page of all the signature campaigns, all the earnings are included:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

If people are interested I could write a full guide on how to get those kinds of earnings, starting from scratch. If you can write decent enough English, it's no problem at all to grow on that forum.

The 30k is just a rough estimate, including everything I've earned on the forum itself and through offers that I've received via the forum.

Wow, great selection that I will look into now. I didn't know so many existed. Thanks for writing this piece @daan!

Wow I didn't know there were so many. Very interesting and thank you for sharing.

There are many more, I just left out the ones that didn't have that many listings on them :-)

Thanks for listing some of the sites that I don't know and will definitely check it out!

I am happy that you also showed Steemgigs there.

Thank you very must for this crypto job site list.
very helpful indeed.
thanks

This is just splendid. Thanks for this. I just scrolled through. Tabbed on bitgigs, I'm registering now. Thanks for the information again
