Considering today's state of online advertising, no quote from Leo Burnett would have been more adequate. However, "but that of boring and annoying them to death" would have been the most perfect. So I think. You do too! If not, the numerous annoying Ad pop-ups on your screen would soon make you do!

According to the International Telecommunication Union, about 3.2billion people which amounts to 47% of the World's total population are online. This well explains the spike in digital marketing hence the probability of reaching a larger audience.

However, the main players in the digital Ad and marketing ecosystem consisting of the Users, Publishers, Advertisers and App Partners are still yet to fully benefit and truly gain from the art of digital marketing.


The Super Annoyed and Frustrated User

If you have ever looked up anything online or simply downloaded one app or the other, then you have probably at one time or the other cursed at the intrusive nature of several unsolicited and unwanted ad pop-ups and spam commercials. Sometimes you even get redirected to a completely new website you never intended to visit. These are just downright annoying and malware could even get  into your device through them. With current arrangements in the digital ads and marketing industry, Publishers, that is online content creators hardly really gain anything meaningful or substantial for all their work in the advertising process. Most times this is a result of displaying Ads which are irrelevant to their audience (imagine a relationship blog displaying ads about Forex, which is a common eyesore). This situation is also not helped by the fact that publishers have to go through middlemen like Google's AdSense who not only charge large commissions but sometimes delay payment making things really difficult for them.
