Hello Steemians, I hope it's normal to wish for certain things to happen or to wish to time travel a few years back after getting into cryptocurrencies world. TBH, I wish to go back not just a few years, but few more years more than you do. haha, I know I'm being little greedy, but hey, it's not my fault. It's totally jaw-dropping to see what they were and what they are today. I actually had known about Bitcoin back in 2011, but I was kind of busy with my own life that I didn't take it seriously. I thought the government would never allow this thing to succeed. I wish I would have researched it more like I did in March of this year when it had just begun to pump.
I was on the facebook and saw somebody sharing the link to the Coinbase. I clicked on the link to download the app with wonder and was stunted just by looking at the price. I was under the impression that Kuwaiti Dinar was the highest currency in the world until then. I googled, watched youtube videos, read Coingraph news, joined different crypto groups and then I literally almost cried seeing what I had missed. Right after finishing the verification, I bought my first Crypto Ethereum at $23 because Bitcoin was around $1000. I received $10 worth of Bitcoin for free since I had used the referral link. I was so happy and end up purchasing my first Bitcoin at $1012. I was so impatient that I sold all of my Ethereum when it went to $36 dollars and thought I made some profits. I did few buy and sell, but ended up buying Ethereum and Bitcoin again at a higher price than selling price. I learned my lesson that I shouldn't trade without having enough knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Right now, I am still learning to trade, but on the smaller scale. I usually buy and hold the coins that I really believe in.

Can you believe that? OMG!! This is why sometimes I wish I could time travel. If you look at it, you will see that Ethereum Classic, Augur, Steem and Maidsafe Coin are not in the top 10 at the current time, but then also they gained huge percentage. Monero stepped down from 7th to 9th, but it's still the winner from the last year's top ten list. I don't think any centralized businesses or banks offer these sort of returns on our investment. I know these are very volatile, but it's worth the risk if you have your eggs in different baskets.

🤑 haha, Look at many of ours baby NEO 👉🏻 1659.41% growth. It probably made many of our fellow Steemians millionaires. Not me yet, I didn't invest enough to become a millionaire, but still have faith in it. The crypto that underperformed on the list is Bitcoin Cash only, however, it did climb close to $900, but failed to maintain. Hope this goes back up again and get you huge profits.
If we still don't believe in blockchain technology then when? If we are still not proud of what we have accomplished through this technology then when? I am not saying that we should all dump our money into cryptocurrencies, but what I am trying to say just to be ready for the future. We came from barter money system to silver and gold then to paper money and couple hundred years later, we started transferring money electronically(e-money) to now cryptocurrencies. It will definitely take some time for the world to accept this advance monetary system to fit in their lives, but it already has started working for many of us. Months before Apple launches its new devices, we start to talk about what features will it carry and what not. We argue about what technology it should implement and how great it can be. I want to appeal all of you who read this to not exit this page, but please think for a while how blockchain technology will change the world in future.

Thanks for the informative post. I really appreciate seeing the various percentage gains of the different cryptos. It gives a clear idea of what's happening in the crypto space, as well as a better idea of what we should focus on and where we should invest our money.
Exactly @majes.tytyty We should be prepare for the future. When people are replacing their paper money with crypto, we will be very fortunate. This is still very small in comparison to the world currency flow.when it reaches 5-10% then sky is the limit.
Yes, most wise observers agree that the sky is the limit. It's almost incomprehensible, but given the current collapsing financial system, and the potential of cryptos, it's quite likely.
I found out about Steemit / Steem only in August, and became active on Steemit only in September. Learning more and more about it makes me wonder if Steem might just be my best investment yet. (I have plenty of silver (for a poor man like myself), a handful of gold, and a few handfuls of bitcoin.)
But considering the whole Steemit platform and concept, it seems possible that Steem may follow the upward trajectories of bitcoin, ether, and so on.
That would be great (read, WILL be great). We can continue to create great content to educate, interest, and help people in the Steemit community, and we might also be in great positions to help others outside this ecosystem.

Yes, Totally agree with you brother. I am assuming that SMT could also add even more value to Steem blockchain which could encourage more projects to use steem blockchain to run their projects. APPICS can also play a huge role on the ground level which focuses on the mobile users. If it even comes with features close enough to insta or facebook then it has potential to revolutionalize the social media industry. Hey, I haven't spent much time on chat, just asked a few question after I started over a month ago. (And I'm not much of a chatter ... ) But we can try to arrange a time to initiate some chatting.
Speaking of Steemit's "features," some of them are quite basic and need lots of work. For instance, the editor function is very mediocre. And I find DTube bland, not very user-friendly and even a bit off-putting.
But that all takes time and input, and it would be presumptuous to expect the team to make the platform perfect from day one. I'm sure they'll improve the site, its functionality, and it appearance over time.
Of course, as it is now, I think they did a damn great job. Each Steemer's blog page is superbly clean, comprehensive, easy to understand (at first glance), and easy to use.

Seeing these stats me be like ' what have I just saw!' I mean such a huge % gain for many of the coins you cited above and now I know that if you had not sold your ethereum then! Definitely you do regret for that.
Seriously this post helped me a lot man and I can say that investing on some of them are highly profitable as long as you can hold on to them. What I feel like is that why didnot I come to know about cryptocurrency few years ago!!!
