If you live in Italy, for Electricy cost, mining is proibitive. The profit/cost balance is really low. And if you get an hardware fault (psu or asic miners / graphic cards), all profit is lost. After a little time of mining, (btc with rockminer), i've switched from mining to exchange forex. I'm "playing" with exchange, like bitstamp or kraken.
However, An intresting coin is Ethereum, is growing right now. And mining eth can be profitable.
