What is Industry 4.0 and why it is important to know how to deal with it

The factories are changing. They are increasingly digital and interconnected. The fourth industrial revolution has begun. With some risks and many opportunities. Here's everything you need to know

Industry 4.0 stems from the fourth industrial revolution, the process that will lead to fully automated and interconnected industrial production. According to a report by the consulting multinational McKinsey, the new digital technologies will have a profound impact in the four development fields: the first is the use of data, computing power and connectivity, and is declined in big data, open data, Internet of Things, machine-to-machine and cloud computing for the centralization of information and its conservation. The second is that of analytics: once the data are collected, we need to derive its value. Today only 1% of the data collected is used by companies, which could instead obtain advantages from "machine learning", ie machines that improve their yield by "learning" from the data gradually collected and analyzed. The third development direction is the interaction between man and machine, which involves the increasingly widespread "touch" interfaces and augmented reality: to give an example the possibility of improving their performance at work using tools such as Google Glass . Finally, there is the whole sector that deals with the transition from digital to "real" and that includes additive manufacturing, 3D printing, robotics, communications, machine-to-machine interactions and new technologies for storing and using energy in a targeted way, rationalizing costs and optimizing performance.

HOW THE TERM OF INDUSTRY 4.0 IS BORN

The expression Industrie 4.0 was used for the first time at the Hannover Fair in 2011 in Germany. In October 2012 a working group dedicated to Industry 4.0, chaired by Siegfried Dais of the engineering and electronics multinational Robert Bosch GmbH and Henning Kagermann of Acatech (German Academy of Sciences and Engineering) presented a series of recommendations to the German Federal Government for its implementation. On April 8, 2013, the final report of the working group was released at the annual Hanover exibition.

HOW AND WHEN THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION IS BORN

So far the industrial revolutions of the western world have been three: in 1784 with the birth of the steam engine and consequently with the exploitation of the power of water and steam to mechanize production; in 1870, with the start of mass production through the increasingly widespread use of electricity, the advent of the petrol engine and the increase in the use of oil as a new energy source; in 1970 with the birth of information technology, from which the digital era was born, destined to increase the levels of automation using electronic systems and IT (Information Technology). The start date of the fourth industrial revolution is not yet established, probably because it is still ongoing and only afterwards will it be possible to indicate the founding act. The topic was at the center of the World Economic Forum 2016, from 20 to 24 January in Davos (Switzerland), entitled "Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution"

The effects of the fourth industrial revolution on the labor market

Experts and observers are trying to change how the work will change, what new skills will be needed and which ones may soon disappear. From the research "The Future of the Jobs" presented at the World Economic Forum, it emerged that, in the coming years, technological and demographic factors will profoundly influence the evolution of work. Some (such as cloud technology and job flexibilisation) are already affecting the dynamics now and will do so even more in the next 2-3 years. The effect will be the creation of 2 new million jobs, but at the same time 7 will disappear, with a negative net balance of over 5 million jobs. Italy comes out with a draw (200 thousand seats created and as many lost), better than other countries like France and Germany. At the professional group level, losses will be concentrated in the administrative and production areas: respectively 4.8 and 1.6 million jobs destroyed. According to the research, the financial, management, IT and engineering sectors will partially offset these losses. Consequently, the skills and abilities sought change: in 2020 problem solving will remain the most sought after soft skill, but critical thinking and creativity will become more important. Precisely because the scenario is rapidly evolving, we must equip ourselves to reap the benefits of Smart Manufacturing, digital innovation in industry processes: "in the short term we can predict negative employment balances, in the medium to long term it is not absolutely certain contraction of the employed in absolute number, also considering the impact in the related industries, especially in the advanced tertiary sector. But our country must know how to fully reap the benefits of the fourth industrial revolution, implementing systemic initiatives for the development of Smart manufacturing and providing workers with digital skills for the tasks of the future ".

Intellihandling and the connection between Industry 4.0 and cryptocurrencies

Our challenge is to create a synergy between the machines that are controlled via the Internet through cloud servers and cloud mining, so while the lines work and the PCs are in control, a part of the processor can be used to carry out cloud mining, with recovery of energy expenditure for the operation of the servers, which however must always remain powered.

Intellihandling and Intellihandling cryptocurrency

In order to finance the realization of this project, we created a new cryptocurrency called Intellihandling, anyone who wanted to join the project, we communicate the Wawes address, where we can make the exchange of tokens, where an Intellihandling will be equal to 0.001 wawes
