KODAKCoin - Kodak Joins the Crypto Party
KODAK is the latest household name to announce the launch of its cryptocurrency.
In an effort to reinvent itself, or perhaps merely survive, KODAK has announced KODAKCoin, a cryptocurrency to help photographers protect the rights to their work.
The specifics are still not clear on why KODAKCoin would be better than simply signing up to other current solutions, like Getty Images or Shutterstock. It seems that KODAK is jumping to the crypto-wagon, and it is working so far. Shares (KODK) are up more than 100% in a single day.
Other well-known brands will follow the trend; just look at Facebook.
My take? Although the blockchain is here to stay, the mass-creation of coins is definitely looking like a bubble now. We just don't know which coins will survive.

There is still a lot of money in the camera business, but unfortunately for KODAK, they lost the boat. Did you know that they invented the digital camera? They just didn't know how to commercialize it!
