No one can fathom the value of the ocean great and grand
A deluge of blue many fathoms deep
Unfathomable even the learned few
Marvelous you are, thou blue watery behemoth

Spread across the void of space and time
You alone know how the tides ebb and how they flow
An sinister patron you are
Who bestows then takes away

How many gnarled bones lay waiting on your floor?
The skeletons of many a ship rot in your salty deep
This is you. The ocean. Unforgiving. Rough
Dreadful, great and blue.
