SEC20W3 Class 3: High Point and Hand Exercise
It's a pleasure to attend crochet class for week 3 and present my homework. In this week class, I have learnt how to carry out an hand exercise during or after crocheting, how to make high chain Or also known as double chains.
For the past three weeks,I realised that Crocheting is a skill that comes easily to some people and proves more difficult for some. Learning crochet isn't an easy task any way but with patience, consistency and regular practice, I have given in my best.
This week engagement challenge took me several days to understand high chain and to carry it out. I used the video carefully, I followed all the pictures shown by the teacher which helps me carry out my assign tasks .
Please go through my pictures and videos to have a clear understanding of my work for the week.
The first task l carried out was stretching of my hand before I knitting. Please watch me doing on the video below, you will see how I did my exercise.
Make a round of 16 double crochet stitches, you can do it with 2 or 3 initial chains. Support your task with a video that focuses on the work and present at least one clear photo of your finished task.
In last week class, I have learnt how to make 16 stitches, as such lt was not difficult for me to create a 5 chain turns my needle to the starting point and carried out the 16 stitches. Since that is the beginning of week 3.
I started my 16 double crochet stitch by making 2 chains upward.
Followed by pulling the thread once with the needle or taking the loop on the crochet hook.

I insert the needle in the immediate hole.
After Inserting the needle, I took a loop and returned the needle through the same stitch. You will notice that we have three chains in the hook.

I took another loop and passed it through two out of the three strands on the hook.
Now we are left with two strands on the hook so I took another loop and pass it through the two of the strands on the hook.
This brings out an high stitch, I repeating the above progress gave us the below results.
This is the video of how l made a 16 round high stitches.
Task 3; Make a second round of 32 double crochet stitches, with 3 initial chains. Supporting my task with a video that focuses on the work with a clear photo of my finished task.
In this video below, you will see that I repeated the previous process but this time, it was double stitch in each hole of 16 stitches making it 32 stitch in total.

Task 4; Share a selfie with your knitting or crocheting.
This is my selfie with my work. l still accept the fact that I am an apprentice in this course, so I will accept all corrections.
I want to appreciate our two teachers for giving us a great tutorial to follow, this learning is easy because of the video method used . l deeply appreciate thier efforts.

Hello friend, I am encouraged to read your experience and I agree that it is not as easy as it seems, it requires attention, if we scatter for a moment we lose the thread haha but how nice to share and learn something new, like you I feel I'm learning, I still have a long way to go but there is a lot of enthusiasm.
