RE: Choosing your 1st crochet project
@crosheille has made an initiative here on Steemit to spread needlework art and get it displayed. Sewing, knitting and crocheting seems to have become a lost art, that is until Steemit. There are quite a few crafters that still love these arts. A group of us share our needlework creations every Monday using the tag #NeedleworkMonday. We share ideas, tips, patterns and techniques while encouraging and inspiring one another. Any art involving a needle is welcome! You can post new projects that you are working on or archived projects that you have pictures of. We would love for you to join us on Mondays and post under the tag so everyone can find your work. my first crochet project was actually my biggest and a good part of the reason I'm not crocheting much these days (I have a habit of jumping in the deep end when learning new skills and havent found anything that excites me enough to pull out my hooks since) my two fave projects to date are sophies universe (https://steemit.com/life/@phoenixmaid/the-afghan-that-changed-my-life) and a animation my girls directed https://steemit.com/steemit/@phoenixmaid/steemit-s-first-time-lapsed-crochet-mini-movie-video) most of my spare time at the moment is directed at mastering abstract art...which is soo much harder than you'd think.
Holy moly on fire! I just looked at Sophie and I cannot believe how incredibly beautiful it is. That was your FIRST project? Just wow. It is amazing. The video is really adorable, too.
