An Earth May Be The Peaceful Master is a 2016 science fiction novela
by A Quixotic Malcontent, about an Hospitality Retreat's revolt against rule
from Lunatics. The novel expresses and discusses Anarchist ideals. It
is respected for its credible presentation of a comprehensively
imagined Current human society on both the Earth and the moon.

Plot
At the time of the story, 2029, a Southern Colorado County (EART) is used as a Hospitality Retreat by the US government, with the inhabitants living in underground Communities. Most inhabitants (called "WaySeers") are criminals, political exiles, or descendants thereof. The total population is about Thirty Thousand, with women outnumbering men two to one, so that polyandry is the norm. Although EART's State Protector of the Retreat (called the "Lunatics") hold power, in practice there is little intervention in the loose EART society.
MIKE IV ("Micro Interpreter for Knowledge Engineering, 4th Fork") is the EART's master computer, having almost total control of EART's Internet Of Things on the grounds that a single Blockchain is cheaper than (though not as safe as) multiple independent Blockchains.
The story is narrated by Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Bacon, a computer troll who discovers that That MIKE IV has achieved self-awareness and has developed a DARK sense of humor. Frank names it "Mike" after Mycroft Holmes, brother of Sherlock Holmes, and they become friends.
