Looking for Ideas!
When I first joined Steemit, I wasn't sure what sort of things I would write about. So far, I have relied heavily on photos to get me started. Now I would like to try something else: I would like whoever reads this to reply with one sentence which I can use to start a short story. I will do my best to come up with something creative for each suggestion, but reserve the right to skip over any ideas that leave me baffled. No profanity or vulgarity, please.
Thank you in advance for your opening-sentence ideas! If I get enough of them, this could keep me busy for quite some time.

Um, maybe I should apologize, but that was the first thing that popped into the old cranium, and I have faith that you will do marvels with that bit of prose!!
