Adam: Charles, are we still in the hospital.
Charles: Yes sir, after my last story you fell asleep.
Adam: Good. Charles, may I share something with you? I'd like to tell about one of the girls I really fell in love with.
Charles: I'd love to hear that story sir. Let me pour you a glass of water.
Adam: Thank you Charles! You are so kind. So, here we go. I was 22 years old only. The last time I fell in love was maybe 8 years ago. ...

Adam was 22 when he met Eva in college, she was a beautiful girl, who was studying art and business. When he saw her he fell in love with her because of her great personality and smile.

Adam was always watching her in the distance, not daring to approach because of his shyness. But one day she left a forgotten modern art book in the classroom and that was her chance to come and introduce herself.

When everyone was leaving the building to go to the parking lot, Adam ran after her to deliver her book, she looked at him and smiled. He thanked her for giving him his book.

Adam took the opportunity to introduce himself and tell him that he wanted to be her friend, she told him she would love to be his friend, so that they could study together, since soon the tests began, and she did not understand much of art, she had taken it because she wanted to see one matter that had nothing to do with business.

Adam was happy because the meeting with Eva had been better than he had ever imagined. So the weeks went by and they were always together on the college campus studying and having fun. Adam could not believe his luck, that the most beautiful girl in college was with him all the time.

One afternoon Adam braced himself to confess to Eve that he loved her, that he wanted her to be his girlfriend. They would be a great couple if they accepted it because they shared many common interests, like art and had a good time.

For Eva this confession was a surprise because she always treated him like a good friend. She did not feel anything for Adam that was not friendship. That he enjoyed the time spent together but that he never liked him as a man.

These words destroyed Adam and broke her heart, after that day Eva avoided talking to Adam and when she finished the quarter Eva disappeared from the life of Adam forever ...

Since then Adam has not had a real relationship with any woman, because he fears that they will break his heart again. For years he has had adventures without importance and avoids compromise. He has never given himself to a woman, nor gives them the opportunity to enter his life. Adam closed to love not to let them hurt him again ...

But many years later when Adam thought he would never fall in love again, he met Emma she healed his broken heart, and gave him the opportunity to be happy. They have been married and live happily for 30 years.
