Four Frottole (arranged by Andrea Antico/performed by Michael Calabris)
Despite an extremely busy schedule, I managed to find enough time recently to record four pieces from Andrea Antico's "Frottole Intabulate da Sonare Organi," a collection of keyboard pieces originally published in 1517.
I performed these pieces on a Zuckermann Flemish IX harpsichord. The harpsichord was tuned to 1/4-comma meantone temperament (392 hrz).
Well played Michael! Look forward to hearing more.
