Frizzy haired woman [ Painting process included ! ]
We'll be going through a step by step process of how i think about things and when i get stuck :D
I found a random image off pinterest and painted based on that, I really enjoyed the strong back lighting of this piece!
I sometimes get too carried away and paint on the wrong layer so i apologise for that but first heres the line art!
I paint out the silhouette roughly, you don't need to be too precise when you're doing a painterly style!
The reason i have the purple behind is so it vibrates behind the skin tones i put in, its very slight but it helps build thickness
Roughly paint in the clothes
When i paint hair i think of them as big ribbons to help clarify things
behind this layer I create a strong backlight to get a feel
Now I refine and blend everything together, blurr the background to make it feel warm and fuzzy and there you have it!
