A veces me gusta hacer cierto ejercicio: Primero hago un dibujo y luego imagino una historia, invirtiendo el ejercicio habitual de imaginar primero la historia y luego ilustrarla.

Así nació esta historia.

A veces soñaba que era un ave. Si hubiese podido ser en un animal, definitivamente habría sido un ave, aunque siempre he temido a las alturas.
Una noche, en sueños, fui ave. Supe que lo era porque pensaba como una; miraba al cielo y lo añoraba, lo deseaba profundamente. Sin embargo, no podía volar porque no tenía alas. Mi cuerpo,enteramente humano, estaba anclado a la tierra. Esa noche, en mis sueños, salí a contemplar las estrellas,desde lejos, como siempre lo he hecho hasta ahora, pero esa vez, mi tristeza era aun mayor.

Sometimes I like to do a certain exercise: First I draw a picture and then I imagine a story, reversing the habit of first imagining the story and then illustrating it.

So I wrote this short story:

I used to dream I was a bird. If I could be an animal, I would definitely be a bird, although I have always feared heights.
One night, in dreams, I was a bird. I knew I was it because I thought like one; I looked at the sky and I longed for it, I wanted it deeply. However, I could not fly because I had no wings. My body, entirely human, was anchored to the earth. That night, in my dreams, I went out to contemplate the stars, from afar, as I have always done so far, but this time, my sadness was even greater.
