Duck Walk
How many ducks do you think it will take to get this log rolling? Not more than thirty steps from the road, this is but one view into Beacon Hill Park as you are coming or going from Mile Zero of the Trans Canada Highway. Also known as Douglas St. in Victoria, B.C.

That's funny to see all those ducks congregating on the log. It looks like a well-kept area. I'm a little surprised to see a log floating along. I'd be afraid it would whack the fountain!
The log is a secured fixture and it's a man made pond. Often painted turtles can be found sunning along the log. With or without the company of ducks, sea gulls and the occasional blue heron.
A log seems like a curious fixture for a man made pond. I thought it might be debris from a storm. Well, it's the perfect perch for turtles and ducks! :)
I could sit next to water features all day and watch the wildlife. We used to live by a lake and had daily visits with a Sandhill Crane family, lots of turtles and some snakes. Never any alligators though. Thank goodness!
I would think Florida has a lot of water features. I didn't really have much time to take in the flora and fauna while spending a week Gainsville once upon a time.
But I did notice a few warning signs for gators. One I remember not too far from the parking lot of the hospital my father was staying in. Hmmmm HMO...gators in the back...just too easy. Hahaha ;)
There's a gator that lives in the retaining pond behind my husband's work place. They call him Fluffy. lol
They call him Fluffy. They call him Fluffy. Him...Fluffy?
Sorry that statement just won't fit in my brain.
Much like math and time does with you.

Yup, they call him their alligator Fluffy. Kind of like calling the tallest guy in the room Shorty, or a chihuahua "Killer". lol
Upvote. Love the ducks. Them rolling that would have me rolling....in the floor lol.
Thanks, if I ever see that happening I'll be sure to catch video of it. ;)
I like your photos, you are beautiful and nice @cryptologyx

I love ducks so much, there are my favourite birds. So funny and somehow weirdly happy.
