What Came First, The Sun Or The Earth?
Well, I will go by the Bible and on the first line of Genesis it reads, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1.
Also it is written, And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: the stars also. Genesis 1:16.
So we see that according to the scriptures that the earth was created before the sun, moon and stars.
So you might be saying, David, you mean to tell me that you don't believe in the big bang theory? I would have to answer, No, I do not.
So what would I call the big bang theory? Well, it is a theory. Shall I believe a theory or the word of God?
Are we not to live by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God? As it is written, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4.
Since I was a kid they indoctrinated me into the globe theory. Yes, it is a theory. Why do I say theory? Because they haven't proved that the earth curves. They even try to tell me that the water curves with the earth.
Well, has anyone even proved that you can make water curve? Can they do that in a lab? So it is still a theory. Can anyone make water stick to a globe in a lab?
Remember the fastest jet at the time made in 1966, it is called, The SR-71 Blackbird. It can go over two thousand miles an hour. Did anyone ever ask the pilots of these jets, if they had to keep the nose pointed downward to compensate for the curve of the earth?
I never got a chance to ask one of these pilots, but if I was face to face with one I would like to know the answer. My guess is that he will tell me that he did not have to keep the nose of the jet pointed downward to compensate for the curve of the earth.
Hey, I'm just a guy trying to ask some questions. I heard of this one guy as a kid, when he was in school and the teacher was saying that the earth has a core, and the guy asked something like how did they get past the molten lava to know that there is a core?
I don't know if that was the exact question, but the teacher got mad at him and sent him to the principle I believe. Now that was a perfectly good question, but the teacher could not answer that question, so the kid got in trouble.
So we still have to believe all this pseudo science that is still not proved?
You know what all this is? This is all tradition. Our teachers taught us this, cause their teachers taught them this, and their teachers taught them that going back generation after generation.
In the meantime people stopped looking at the Bible and seeing what it really said. The globe earth is a tradition of man. What does the Bible say about the tradition of men?
As it is written, Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8.
So keep asking questions as there have been a lot of lies told to us since we were born. Also meditate on the scriptures.
One more thing. It is also written, I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies my meditation. Psalm 119:99.

Hello @engrsayful. In Genesis the plants were created on the 3rd day and the sun, moon and stars where put in the firmament on the 4th day. So that would be one day without the light of the sun. Also let me ask you, have you ever grew plants without the light of the sun? Now look at Genesis when it says, And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. and the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:3-5. So here you see that there is light, but it is not the sun. So can plants grow with light that is not the light of the sun? Look how the marijuana growers plant in houses using light that is not sunlight, yet it still grows. Thank you @engrsayful!
Biblical Creation history of Genesis confirms the creation of Light before every other living organisms including plants. So, which two days without light could he be talking about??
You may note as well the existence of some autotrophic plant species, depending not on light for their chemical nutrients needs!!
Just first see the Dr Zakir Naik part about The holy Bible please. He mentioned 22 scientific errors of Bible which was not justified by Dr willium campbel. Book of Genesis, this issue was one of that 22 errors. Please watch, then comment please. You will find this debate on youtube. I can give you link if you can't find it out.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but I will pull out something that I noticed. When the great flood of Noah's time came. Yes there was an ark. I hear him say that there was not enough room. Now if you notice an elephant full grown, now notice a baby elephant. If all the animals where baby horses and baby giraffes and so on, then can you see where all the animals can fit?
Also people brought up Mark 16:17. As it is written, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; They shall speak with new tongues. Mark 16:17. That is being done. Check out Chris LaSala on Youtube.
All arose out of misunderstanding by him because he has little or No knowledge of the Bible !!
Can you avail the errors as he claimed so that we can correct him??

Your blog post is refreshing and i like your approach. You dont see much posted as far as Bible scriptures go. Let me ask....do you believe man or satellites have reached the moon?
Have you found proof enough to support that manmade objects have left Earth's atmosphere?
I aak these as genuine questions of curiosity. Thanks.
Hello @naltedtirt, No, I do not believe that man made it to the moon or those satellites. Well first we have to look at the firmament. Notice that the sun, moon and stars where placed in the firmament as mentioned in Genesis 1:14-19. Now let me ask you a question, is the firmament firm? Now we have to go to Job, as it is written, Hast thou with him spread out the sky, strong, as a molten looking glass? Job 37:18. So now we know that the firmament is strong as a molten looking glass. In my mind nothing that is created by man can break through God's firmament. So nobody and nothing ever made it to the moon.
Also about these satellites. You ever notice that in the neighborhood all of the satellite dishes are pointed the same way? What? I thought the satellites move around. Shouldn't those satellite dishes be moving around to catch the signal of these moving satellites? Has anyone even seen a satellite that dropped back to the earth? They always say they dropped in the ocean.
Also every time they put up a rocket why does it seem to fly straight up at first then it levels off and starts flying sideways? Are they afraid if they go too high that they will hit the firmament? Like I said, I don't know all the answers, but it is right that we keep on asking questions or else we will continue in the lies of the devil. Thank you@naltedtirt!
I think of all the lies the devil could tell....flat earth/round earth seems like the most innocent because in the whole scheme of things does the answer really matter? I prefer to believe in round Earth myself because I think a tiny sun and tiny space limit GOD and his power. If the Earth is flat I still believe. If it is round I still believe. The devil can lie to me either way and my belief is still there so the lie is pretty much ineffective.
You see the devil only has to have us doubt the scriptures. If he gets us to doubt one scripture then he can get us to doubt more scriptures. I believe that the firmament is a dome that houses the sun, moon and stars. The firmament also hold the waters from above the firmament. This is how during the time of the great flood where even the tallest mountains were covered. How was there enough water to cover even the tallest mountains? As it is written, In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Genesis 7:11. So the windows of heaven that opened was the firmament that opened up so that the waters that were above the firmament fell down to the waters that were below the firmament, along with all the fountains of waters from the great deep broken up. This is how there was enough water to cover even the tallest of mountains.
Also something to think about is that above our atmosphere, they tell us that there is vacuum. Well, if we have a non-vaulted atmosphere, then would not the vacuum tear up our atmosphere? Then if we look at the scriptures, then the firmament vaults our atmosphere. Then above the firmament is water, not outer space. There is another scripture, Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that above the heavens. Psalm 148:4.

My understanding is that when a satellite is in orbit the gravity of Earth keeps it in the same spot above the Earth. If it moved around the signal would only work for a short time.
I may be wrong but rockets typically go into Earth's orbit to begin with then use the gravity to sling shot around the Earth after the first orbit using the momentum to help propel the rocket with the assist from the engines.

Hello @whyaskwhy. Ok, I'll have to stop by. While I am here. Did you notice that the so called scientist say that the moonlight is the reflection of the sunlight? I say that is a bunch of nonsense. The Bible says, And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: the stars also. Genesis 1:16. So they have to be two different lights. Also this can be measured. The greater light, the sun, has light that is warmer in its light than in its shade. Now the lesser light, the moon, has light that is cooler in its light than in its shade. They are two different lights. People have used a thermometer and found that out. Now I can reflect the light of the sun, but still it will be warmer in its light than in its shade. So the Bible is true that the greater light and the lesser light are two different lights and not a reflection of the other.
Also please note, that if you took a magnifying glass and let the sunlight pass through, you could increase the heat of the light. Now look, if you took a magnifying glass and let the moonlight pass through, you could increase its coolness. Now I am saying, if you brought those lights to the size of a little bead that is.
