Don Quixote of today?
In the Novel by Miguel de Cervantes, Don is a middle-aged gentleman from the region of La Mancha in central Spain. He takes on a squire Sancho Panza (my favorite character) on his adventure in search of wealth and glory.
In general, Don is mad (crazy). He imposes his fantasies on himself as well as others in an attempt to serve and worship Dulcinea del Toboso whom he imagines to be a princess.
The story is about the demise of chivalry.
Today we live in a crazy world based on debt. We tilt at windmills believing they are giants. In truth, they are not. Like Sancho, we occasionally believe the fantasy.
If the fiction is exposed, we will die in the realization that our lives have been spent in insanity. As Sancho states "it is better to be a happy laborer than a miserable governor".
The world is full of people like Don. There are a few people like Sancho (who only lied when it suited him).
Today's beauty is a photo of a wedding chapel named for Dulcinea. Also there a picture of Don.
I think we are all a little bit crazy. Especially those of us here, talking to the internets and playing with magic interwebs money. It's okay though. Lol. Good post. Followed and Upvoted!
