• The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, decided to quarantine himself for 14 days after visiting a school in Felgueiras which was closed due to the coronavirus. 🇮🇹

• There are 7375 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. Hospitals in the north of the country are overwhelmed. 366 people died in Italy alone, including 257 in Lombardy. More than one in two patients is hospitalized. 15M people affected by quarantine. 🇮🇹

• First death due to confirmed coronavirus in Egypt. He is a German citizen. Authorities have identified a focus of community transmission on a boat on the Nile. 🇪🇬

• The Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, General Salvatore Farina, has tested positive for coronavirus. He announces that he is well and that he is in solitary confinement. 🇮🇹

• Hotel requisitioned for coronavirus patients in China collapsed, killing at least ten. 🇨🇳

• France has started level 1 of the white plan (internal mobilization plan), which puts all the hospitals under pressure to prepare and anticipate level 2, as well as to quickly put in place the material, logistical and human resources essential in the event influx of patients into the hospital. 🇫🇷
