COVID-19 Update [22/03/2020]

Today America leap-frogged Germany, Spain and Iran to be the nation with third-most cases in the world behind only China and Italy. 7,900 new cases were confirmed in America and we lost 84 souls today as the Wall Street Journal published an article authored by multiple reporters which described how New York is now the new hotspot in America and its hospitals are already rapidly nearing capacity. Strangely, the Empire State was among the last to take the measures many of us have called Draconian to get people to distance socially.

Only 176 Americans have recovered from the disease out of the 27,000 confirmed cases, but only 340 have died. Alarmingly, the aforementioned article claimed that 56% of the cases in New York were less than fifty years-old, obliterating the widely-held belief that this virus only killed elderly comorbid people.

Italy is still in throes of this deadly disease, again lengthening its streak of having its worst day yet, losing another 793 countrymen and confirming another 8,500 new cases.

China reported only 6 new deaths today bringing their reported total to 3,261, but it was also discovered that 8 million people inexplicably dropped their China Mobile cell phone service in the last two months. I suspect there is no need for cell phones in Nirvana.
