Nurse Attacked by Psycho Cop for Following Medical/Legal Protocol.
"Okay, so I take it that without those [warrant, consent, arrest] I'm not going to get blood."
Says the perturbed Salt Lake City cop to the nurse who has just informed him of the legal and medical protocol mutually agreed upon by the police department and the hospital in question, which prevents him from taking blood from an (in this case unconscious) patient without an active arrest, warrant, or consent.
The patient in question was a victim of, and not a criminal suspect in the car crash prompting the investigation.
At about 2 p.m. on July 26, [William] Gray was driving a semi north on State Road 89/91 near Sardine Canyon when a man fleeing from the Utah Highway Patrol crashed a pickup truck into him head-on, according to Logan police, who investigated the collision.
That said, even if Gray were intoxicated it would still be a violation of both natural law AND HOSPITAL/POLICE/STATE "LAW" to take his blood without a warrant, an arrest, or consent.
Regardless, the "peace officer" says "we're done," and proceeds to assault and kidnap this screaming woman so he can get "his blood."
I wish the staff here had been armed. This assailant could have, and should have been stopped.

Of course the thug did it. This is the behavior of someone who wants to make it patently obvious that refusing to follow orders, lawful or no, will be much more inconvenient than simply saying yes. This will get thrown out, and the woman will settle, but it'll cost so much in the form of lost hours, and emotional distress, that others may think twice before refusing state gangsters. She's an example now. Exactly how he wants it.
The woman will settle and the taxpayers will pay the settlement.

I don't even understand the logic behind this(maybe because there isn't any). Unfortunately, police mistakes happen, you won't become a professional just by wearing a uniform. And braindead laws make their job even more difficult.
A question though, what grades/school do people need in the USA to become a cop?
At this point, it is more than a few mistakes. The whole institution is corrupt first of all because it is funded under threat of violence (via taxation) by extortion and its "services" forced upon non-consenting "civilians."
This is why all state police around the world are morally illegitimate.
That said, US cops are arguably the worst, and departments actually are allowed to refuse employment to applicants who score too high on IQ tests.
This is a too common example of the overreach of the rabid dogs of the state.

Wow! How horrible that an employee following a mutually agreed upon policy gets arrested. Doing the right thing doesn't mean corrupt people won't try (and often succeed) to use their power to enforce wrong or illegal consequences. 😡
Seeing this kind of abuse of power is something that just sends me thru the roof and so many things need to happen to him over it. Why would he think he can break the law? Is this just the new way of their training? Action reactions need to take place to remove him from any perceived level of control. Sharing to show what is wrong!
Shameful act by the cop, i wonder why the hospital staff or guards won't take any action against this act, how can cop arrest someone without arrest warrants.
When you purposely hire men and women willing to break and assault the constitution, along with any moral empathy or regard. What do you expect?
