According to cooperative development authority of the Philippines, cooperative is an autonomous and duly registered association of persons, with a common bond of interest, who have voluntarily joined together to achieve their social, economic and cultural needs and aspirations by making equitable contributions to the capital required, patronizing their products and services and accepting a fair share of risks and benefits of the undertaking in accordance with the universally accepted cooperative principles .

Our primary goal is to provide and satisfy cooperative members with excellent products and services. One of our allied products is the insurance products of CLIMBS Life & General Insurance Cooperative, where our cooperative is conduit to the said insurance company. We promote and sell there products to our cooperative members. Like other insurance company they have also life and non-life insurance, where members can choose their own products according to their needs. Life is uncertain; sickness, accident, disability natural disaster are example of events beyond our control that have the power to destroy life. Most of our members take these for granted that these will not happen to them. In the event that any of these occur, the outcome in no doubt is a financial loss to the family.

CLIMBS Life & General Insurance Cooperative, known as the grassroots insurance, can provide our members insurance as a financial protection for any events that will result to loss of life. By providing our members with insurance, we are giving them opportunity for protection that might not be available to them in the event of an accident or death. The extent of coverage is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide protection against accident which an insured person may be exposed to in the course of activities related to business or pleasure, whether on or off-the-job, occurring in the house or while travelling. It includes indemnity from accidental bodily injury within 180 days from date of accident. Covers while the insured is riding as a fare-paying passenger within any mechanically propelled non aerial public conveyance which is common carrier then operates legally and regularly dispatches for hire over an established land transportation route in a regular passenger service. Also includes coverage in respect to flying but is limited to accidental loss occurring while the insured is riding solely as a passenger, not as an operator or crew member.
