The Cook with Us team, @offoodandart, @pandamama and @chefsteve, want to thank everyone for their entries this week. This was a tough week and we appreciate all of you that stepped up to this challenge. You really showed your creativity and resourcefulness in using a microwave to its full potential. We were blown away by what you all created!

Before we get to this week’s winners, don’t forget that this week is the Cupcake decorating Challenge with mystery theme fancy plated dish. This means that the main theme is your best cupcake design or you can choose to make a fancy plated dish or dessert. You do not have to use both themes. We publish the weekly themes so that you guys can plan when you want to enter. We add the mystery theme each week to give people another option for participating. Often the mystery theme is an ingredient, but this week we are sticking to the idea of a fancy decoration. So, if you do not want to make a cupcake then show us your idea of a fancy dish or dessert.

This was a very tough decision that took a long time to work out! As a team of three judges we each vote independently each week and then we look at the results. Usually there is a clear winner and that is it. This week we had a tie, so we discussed the entries to see if there was a way to break the tie. After much discussion the tie remained. We felt that these two entries were both extraordinary. Both entries presented maximum creativity and full use of the microwave to create different textures and products. We applaud both @whattheduck and @alansthoughs for their well designed works of art! Well done you two and thank you for sharing your work with us!
