My easy recipe for a delicious bread

in #cooking7 years ago (edited)

Our family became connoisseurs of freshly baked bread straight from the bakery when we lived in Europe. When we moved to Canada, we did not have a bakery close by, and had to buy bread from the local supermarket. That was also the first time our teenage son saw bread being sold in a plastic bag, and it was not a great experience.

After a while of trying to acquire a taste for supermarket bread, we knew we had to make a plan and bake our own bread. The recipe books were consulted, and many attempts were made with mostly disappointing results. After years of experiments we finally arrived at a recipe that produced a bread that we are excited about.

The good thing about this recipe is that it is simple and quick to make. If you love bread as much as we do, just follow the recipe below.

Really cool. Making your own bread seems like a great idea.

Thank you. This recipe developed over the years, but eventually delivered the bread we were looking for. We stopped buying bread because of the chemicals for longer shelf life and taste enhancers that are not healthy to digest.

Congratulations dear friend @johandutoit for this interesting post, I really like the work of the baker, throughout my life I have learned to make the masses of pizzas, Viennese bread, pebette, cornbread, chipacitos, this looks Very delicious, thank you very much for sharing the recipe.

Always interesting to meet fellow bakers! Bread looking good.

Thank you! I am not really much of a baker as I only bake bread. But what you are into seems very interesting!

Looking good!

update: well, my dough collapsed after proof, but I was able to save, I just kneaded again for about 5mins and allowed to proof again for about 30mins. Was able to get gluten structures after this, bread came out good.

I had many failures over the years, far too many to mention. This recipe has been kind to me with no failures and great tasting bread.

always love a good recipe post!
