Ecuador is currently in 3rd place with wins over Argentina and Colombia, a draw versus Brazil, and a loss to Uruguay. A multiple goal loss to Venezuela could put their qualification into jeopardy. Ecuador has an outside chance to win this tournament with a victory over Venezuela and losses by Argentina and Uruguay. They have never been champions but were runners up in 2017.
