Steemit Ultra Marathon – Game four– round one

in #contest6 years ago

It’s on again – the Steemit Ultra Marathon. Everyone wants a piece of the prize money and all they have to do to get it is run 63kms faster than everyone else.

Simple really.

And what prize money are they playing for?

  • 1st place – 20SBD
  • 2nd place – 10SBD
  • 3rd place – 5SBD

Here is who we have playing this time:

@karenb54
@toofasteddie
@plankstoplanks
@len.george
@soluce07

Let’s get started

Runners, you need to tell me:

  • How fast you intend to run – a number from 1-15 (you can use decimal places if you like e.g. 5.5)
  • How many hours you intend to run for – a number from 1-2 (you can use a decimal for partial hours e.g. 1.5)
  • How many energy gels you will consume – a number from 0 – however many gels you have (whole numbers only)
  • OR if you want to rest, how long you intend to rest (in hours) – a number from 1-2

Runners have until 9am tomorrow New Zealand time, to tell me their choices. Anyone not replying in the next 24 hours will be classed as DNF (Did Not Finish).

Remember, this race is all about managing the damage. Get to know the course and where you can run fast and where you have to run slow. Get it right, and you can cover a lot of ground. Get it wrong, and you can end up walking for the rest of the race.

Check out the official website for the race and also check Strava for course maps and times.

On your marks, get set, GO!

Do you like games?

Check out my Steemit Ultra Marathon game where you can win 20SBD for first place, 10SBD for second and 5SBD for third. Get your virtual running shoes on and get ready to run!

Also don't forget to check out my Dad's blog

Who else can tell you stories about impersonating an officer, stealing a military aircraft to go on a booze run, or steal military aircraft and go on an unsanctioned bombing run - and that's all before he turned 18!

Check out @len.george and find out what other madness he got up to!

Are you new to Steemit and trying to figure out what it's all about?

Sort:

How fast you intend to run – a number from 1-15 (you can use decimal places if you like e.g. 5.5) 3
How many hours you intend to run for – a number from 1-2 (you can use a decimal for partial hours e.g. 1.5) 2
How many energy gels you will consume – a number from 0 – however many gels you have (whole numbers only) 1
OR if you want to rest, how long you intend to rest (in hours) – a number from 1-2

Is that ok?

And we are off... :)
Speed: 6
Run Time: 2
Gels: 1

According to the web http://www.wuu2k.co.nz/ seems that the firstthird of the race is the most demanding so, I am going to set the following variables as:
Speed:6
run time:2.5
Gels: 2

I'm quite excited and a little rough on the start line of my first ultramarathon, LOL!

Speed = 7.7
Hours to run = 2
Energy gels = 0
Rest = 0

Hugs to all and happy running from @amico! ;)

Let's go :
My speed : 7
run time : 1.5
Gel: 1

Speed. 7

Time. 2

Gels. 0

With a shower of spray, we are away.
