April promotions mythpunk novel Ragnarok Conspiracy: Win 50 STEEM or other price with your review; Prolonging brexit promotion.

in #contest5 years ago

My first speculative fiction (Mythpunk) novel Ragnarok Conspiracy, with bundled short stories Orussian Quarantine and Atheist Afterlife is available as e-book on Amazon, iTunes, Play, Kobo, Bol, B&N, and my own Timelord Ninja site. The price of this e-book differs quite a bit from channel to channel and from currency to currency. And as there are exchange rates concerned, and I sometimes run promotions, I periodically post an up to date price list for all channels and main relevant currencies.

The following promotions from the previous month are continued:

  • Free on Google Play from the UK (prolonged until the actual #brexit date, whatever that date might turn out to be)
  • Pay what you want in STEEM.
  • Free on Google Play from Venezuela (permanently)
  • Free on Google Play from India (permanently)

Instead of doing some other discount on one of the channels in order to get more sales, this month I want to try something completely different. The reviews to sales ratio on my book so far have been rather disappointing. I want to try and get some reviews, if possible on book channel sites, but reviews on goodreads would also do quite fine. To get those reviews, this month I want to run a bit of a competition on the STEEM platform. Here is the deal:

  • Get a copy of Ragnarok Conspiracy (seel links below, if you didn't already get one) or read it online
  • Read the book (if you didn't already) If you think you won't finish reading it and writing a review before the end of April, comment on this post before the 21st of April and request an individual prolongation of up to four weeks (please specify how many extra weeks you need.
  • Write an honest review.
  • Publish your review either on one of the book channels listed below, or alternatively on goodreads.
  • Post your review on steemit and don't use bidbots on your post. Link to your book channel post from your post.
  • Comment on this post with a link to your post before the first of may, or if you requested individual prolongation, before the date you requested.
  • Share your post, ask friends to vote on your post, just don't use bid bots.

After the deadline has expired for everyone (including the people who requested a prolongation), I'll wait for any post that hasn't reached its 7 day voting window close yet and I'll look at the steemit posts and judge them by the number of votes your post received. Positive criticism is appreciated, so this isn't a bud kissing contest and to take away any implied partiality on my side, I'm going to let the STEEM comunity pick the winners. Basically if it's an honest and constructive review and I have no reason to believe the votes received are from bidbots, self votes and/or puppet accounts, I'll trust the steemit community to pick the winners for the most informative review.

The prices:

  1. A 50 STEEM first prize
  2. A 20 STEEM second prize
  3. Up to four consolation prizes of 5 STEEM each.

It wouldn't be much of a competition if there weren't any people competing with you. For that reason I'm adding the following caveats to the prices listed above in case there are less than four competitors:

  • If there is only one competitor, the first price is reduced to 12.5 STEEM
  • If there are only two competitor, the prices are reduced to 25 STEEM and 10 STEEM respectively.
  • If there are only three competators, the prices are set to 37.50 STEEM, 15 STEEM and 3.75 STEEM respectively

I hope this competition will be fun for everyone and the reviews might draw in new groups of readers. So get a copy of the book or read it online, have fun reading it, write a review and maybe win one of the prizes.

As The Copyright Wars, started by a quantum-blockchain-heist, have ended with the creation of the dangerous Debrisphere, so has the age of communication, as has the age of both conventional and cryptocurrency.
In the post-war world where printing-base is the new currency, a young forensic scientist travels to the moon setting out to once and for all debunk moon landing hoax conspiracy theories. What he finds on the moon though, ends up uncovering a conspiracy that goes much deeper than anyone could have ever imagined.

The Orus system’s Orussians had found a brilliant way to harness the power of labor by engineering ant-monkeys, a hard-working and unswervingly loyal slave species—until the uprising.

Having further manipulated the genes of her own male ant-monkey, Inoatar, and granting him free will, bioscientist Uriëlla has grievously breached the code of conduct. The barbaric penalty for these acts would not only involve her, but her entire clan as well. As a result, she must wrestle with emancipating Inoatar despite desperately needing him.

The uprising, Uriëlla’s actions and their subsequent fallout lead to a struggle of biblical proportions which promises to forever alter Orus civilization.

When hyper-intelligent mathematician David is forced to confront his own mortality, his coveted manuscript on the ‘Proof of absence paradox’ threatens to die with him. Desperate to salvage his life’s work, he realizes that his exceptional mentee and protégé, Naila, could hold the key to the salvation of his manuscript and theorem—but their strained relationship may not allow for that.

Consumed by doubt and plunged into a bewildering darkness, David is offered a glimpse into a vast interconnectedness, the likes of which outstretch his human comprehension and challenge his theorem. As nature, faith and science intertwine, David gains insights which transport him far beyond his original manuscript.
