Market Research Needed
We at Steem Factory have been thinking of new services to offer the Steem Community. Here's one idea that we would like some feed back on.
Idea
The idea is to offer a raffle of an $XX Amazon Gift Card for half price.
To enter the contest you would:
- Pay a small entry fee in Steem and include your email address in the memo field
- Need to upvote and resteem the post
- A random drawing of all the entries would take place and the winner be chosen
- The winner would pay for the Gift Card in Steem or STEEMFACTORY Tokens (50% of Face value of Gift Card)
- Upon payment the gift card will be emailed to the winner
Feedback
- Would this contest interest you?
- What fee in Steem would you pay for a chance to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card?
- Is %50 of the card's face value a fair price? If not, what would be?
- Would your interest increase if you paid for the card in STEEMFACTORY Tokens and received an additional 25% discount off of face value?
- How often should we run this contest?
What is Steem Factory?
For those of you not familiar with our project, Steem Factory is a small cryptocurrency mining operation. We are a community based project that donates rewards to the Steem community.

In response to your query. One of the benefits of participating in contests is rewards.....the interest becomes limited when there is only one winner especially without being able to influence the win through merit.
Appreciate the opportunity to think on these things.
Illustration: @maarnio runs a contest...which while is is based on chance.....knowledge of the crypto market assists and at the same time depending on your choice there can be several winners. The odds are one out of three choice giving one at least a 30% chance of a win. Whilst the win is not much.....the fun is the thinking on the contest and suspence of the winning.
The better the odds of winning....perhaps the better the participation.

As much as I like the idea I am more concerned with a buy back plan first. But by all means everyone come up with otehr ideas and benefits that would work for people and #steemfactory.
I would be interested if i get paid in STEEMFACTORY Tokens .
Like the idea of keeping our value in the STEEMFACTORY token / asset itself.
I think the same. Instead of a gift card, a contest where we can increase our STEEMFACTORY reward could be nice ! It's because I sold 1200 SF (SteemFactory) for ~3500 BTS (~50$) ! It could be interesting to work on the exchange value of the SF. I guess contests could give value but only if other trade forms like Steem services ou goods come too.
