Thanks! It's a combination play on the 'sunsetting' term used for IT equipment when you retire it when it's past its useful life, and 'sundowners syndrome', which is something I only recently heard was a thing.

Crap, this was awesome! I love the Chuck Palahniuk-esque prose, and the, like, violent junk the lady was talking about contrasted the scenery. Very neat. :D

Wow. Excellent build-up and a great turn on the prompt. Having just been through the dementia of my grandmother, I'm familiar with sundowners' and I can tell you, you evoke the pain of family members perfectly. So well done (as usual) and best of luck!
