RE: [Crowdsourced Design Contest] 200 STEEM for Logo Design
@richardcrill - this is your baby and it's got room to grow as you add more product, right? So, without asking for creative direction, how about share something about you and what makes you passionate about this business? I personally love interacting with people to see where they're coming from to help generate ideas that they might like. So if you could throw out a few "power words" to describe your line that would be helpful.
For example, when we feast with our eyes, we want to create a trigger response. POWER looks far different from TRANQUIL. Thanks!
Great Idea @merej99! Thank you for that comment! I may need to make a new post to share why I'm passionate about this. I have been into natural/organic/health stuff for years. When I first learned of the transdermal absorption of magnesium while working for a company that sells magnesium chloride for ice melting, dust control, cattle feed, etc , I just dumped some magnesium chloride in my bathwater to see what it would do. After the bath, I had the best sleep I've had in a long time. I noticed a positive effect on my skin too, and I just felt amazing the next day. I had been experiencing a lot of low energy and lethargy, but after getting a big dose of magnesium topically, I felt better than I had in a long time. I was full of energy all of a sudden. I almost couldn't believe how big of a difference it made.
As I learned more about all the problems that can come from magnesium deficiency, I realized that was exactly what I had fixed in myself. The company does not sell magnesium oil, which is just magnesium chloride and water (technically its not really oil at all, but because of the properties of magnesium it has the feel of oil.) Anyway, I started to make magnesium oil for myself and got a lot of my friends and family to try it and everyone seemed to like it. The most common things I heard were the exact things I had experienced. Deep relaxation at first, followed by lots of energy. I found out that every cell in your body uses magnesium for energy production.
As I was pondering the problem of 80% of Americans being deficient in magnesium, I thought about what I always think about. How did we do it naturally in the past. I am definitely passionate about nature and health. And I follow the prescript from Hippocrates, "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food". So, I had a very healthy diet that included foods with the highest amounts of magnesium including dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds, beans, avacados, whole grains, bananas, etc, yet I was still low on magnesium. I found out that when you consume it orally, your body cannot take in as much magnesium as you can through the skin. In fact, if you try, you will get diarrhea. Sorry if TMI. Long story short, transdermal magnesium is definitely the way to go. If your not walking barefooted on river beds rich in minerals and swimming in magnesium rich waters all the time, magnesium oil is the next best way to get a big dose of transdermal magnesium!
All that is to try to show how I am coming up with "power words"
It's funny that you used POWER and TRANQUIL, as both of those could work. The word that comes to my mind is NATURE.
Works like crazy, the magnesium. When you boil banana it release magnesium and when yo drink, the relaxation effect is felt instantly!
I did not know this! WOW!
And because of this response I totally see imagery in lush greens, leaves, a spring-fed brook, sunshine reflecting off a lake... That feels more right than your blue bottle.
It definitely does! That sounds beautiful to me!
Elegant!
