I need a clarification for the previous puzzle answer. "Jonathan just beat out Courtney to come in directly behind Tony. Two other runners were behind Jonathan but before Rob"
- the word "other" implies two runners other than Courtney
- "just beat out" and "were behind" implies that even before Jonathan beat Courtney two runners were between Jonathan and Rob
I had initially come up with the order posted as solution above but had to change because of the above mentioned 2 statements
These are independent statements.
The first implies that the order is Tony, Jonathan and Courtney.
The second says that there were two runners AFTER Jonathan and BEFORE Rob.
