The Over 100 Club - And a Chance to Win
Day 11 brought to you by Marianne
The Over 100 Club
The Freewrite Daily Prompt is now, today, on Day # 157.
That is a lot of days of daily writing. Believe it or not, there are a few people out there (maybe only one) who have written a freewrite every single day since we got started.
We feel that deserves something extra special.
Today, we are asking you what you would like to see in the Over 100 Club.
Here is the post about the Over 20 Club
Of course, we could just do something like for the Over 100 Cub. But we think we want to make it more special.
Tell us what that would look like for you. What would make this membership meaningful to you?
Of course, for a chance to win!
Win, Win, Win!!!
You Tell Us for a Chance to Win a Membership in Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
This is what you have to do for your chance to win a membership: Leave us a comment
Which has something to do with this post
Is at least 50 words
We will let you know if your comment is accepted and give you a number.
Here is a free word count tool
At 5 PM Pacific time the day after publishing of this post, we will close the contest and draw the winner through a random number generator. This will give you almost 36 hours to post your comment.
The winner will be announced and sponsored the same day.
7.55 PM 3/26/2018 The contest is now closed.
Watch this space. There will be a daily chance to win for the next 3 days - and maybe longer.
And join us at the Isle of Write in the freewriter - retreat

I really think the Over 100 Club is a special thing because it really shows how dedicated some of the freewriters are in expanding their creativity and grabbing a hold of the challenge...especially writing when you don't feel like it haha. So I'd be interested in hearing what they've learned or their own tips and tricks to writing frequently. So, a nice post...kind of like an interview...but maybe only a few sentences describing what they've learned or how they've grown. Maybe it could include their most challenging freewrite prompt!

You are in!! That sounds good. Invite them to write a post about their process and possible struggle. What can we do to make that person feel special? What would make you feel special? A membership in Steem basic income? A SBD share of the post payout? That we pay for an upvote bot? Just wondering....(mw)
Hmmmm...both of those sound like a nice reward! I even thought about a badge, but then that starts to make it part of their Steemit identity, and that felt like it was going too far.
The Over 100 Club!! Wow. Sounds like a bad golf club. Or a few old people trying not to fall over. Oh, I get it now: those who have written over 100 freewrites. Well, that's just amazing. Well done to those few free fountains of frugal fiction.
I suggest a list of ten common questions to each of those high achievers to get a comparison of various methods and mind-sets. Then they may add as they wish. The questions may help them to organize their thoughts.
Or, certainly, they may ignore the questions and write as they wish...
Just thoughts....

You are in!! Thank you for your thoughts. And I think we should have a club for writers who are older than 100 as well. don't know if there are any on Steemit - but one never knows LOL (mw)
The commitment it takes to write 100 free writes is amazing, and I am sure those who have earned the badge have a lot of wisdom to share. I would love to see a post about their journey to the Over 100 Club (kind of a lessons learned), and some sort of steem prize to acknowledge their accomplishment.

You are in!! Yes, 100 freewrites is something to be proud off - And wait till we get to the Over 500 club - next year 🤓I do think it would be very interesting to find out about the personal process of the committed writers. That is for sure... As to Steem - we shall try. right now, our net worth is around 10 SP and the prizes so far were donations. If the larger community steps up and donates we would love to spread it around... (mw)
Over 100 Club!! Bring out the party favours and let's make some noise. How can one be celebrated hitting this milestone? Feels like it needs human interaction, like a meet-up. with real party hats and all. I guess it can be done with whoever's there, followed by a post and all the upvotes for that post goes to the Over 100 honouree.... Nothing like some Steem...

You are in. A party with real life interaction would be great!! Maybe we can do a Live party if they get the ability to have a lot of people on at the same time... And a little Steem is always good. Agreed!!
Is there a whale or dolphin that the freewritehouse has under their little fin? (hahaha puns)
I feel like the best way to reward those that get to this goal would benefit the most if there is a curator that has a lot of voting power upvoting there old content that they repost. I think as a community we would be able to give a decent amount of rewards to someone who showcases their favorite works after 100 posts but ultiamtely the rewards will always be greater if a whale is on board.
Ahhh, something just sparked in my mind!! What about a curation trail? could this possibly be an option for someone that makes it to the over 100 club? Once someone has made it into the club they could get an 100% upvote from freewritehouse then if everyone is following the curation trail they will get hit with a lot of rewards. All the thoughts bouncing around in my head and this is as clear as its going to come out right now :) cheers!

You are in!! We so wished that a whale would take us under their fin. But so far, @stellabelle is the only one who has given us any attention and that was a delegation for a while. Maybe, some whale will find this interesting. We certainly are helping a lot of newcomers to the platform succeed.
As to curation trail. Eventually, we are thinking of implementing a freewrite bot to shower everyone with some love. But right now, all of us being very little fish ourselves, we are maxed out delegating to this account to make the vote even show up...
Everything started small.... We shall see (mw)
I read everyone else's ideas and comments first, which maybe wasn't a good idea, because now I am busy chuckling over limos and songs. I have had fun reaching 20 freewrites, and hope to reach 100 within about 4 months. (I'd like to shoot for one every day, but that's not realistic.) When I reach 100 freewrites I would be content with an announcement of some sort on the Freewrite House page and a few pats on the back. And chocolate. :)

You are in! Hmmmm. Chocolate. That sounds like a brilliant idea!! We all need chocolate in the Freewrite House!!! For sure!! Let's get Willy Wonka on the job and build us a chocolate room!! (mw)
Freewrite helps me create a daily post on Steemit. Sometimes it's a quality post and sometimes it's a funny post, with lots of quality. I might be getting close to 100 freewrites by the end of the month. I'm sure that whatever we decide, it will be a fun time for all. @steembasicincome for everyone.

You are in! So glad that freewriting helps you to post everyday. And yes!!! steembasicincome for everyone!!!
As I sit here scratching my head, in hopes and wonder that my writing is not dead. Maybe a number tracker is what I need. If I want to join the 100 club I had better move it and pick up my speed. Post and post, and post some more. Why, you ask, does that even matter? Because I would love to see a badge to show myself I reached another goal. But I would be ok too with being in the backseat listening and singing along with @snook. @felt.buzz may need earplugs, lol.
5 pixiehunter
You are in!! Maybe we should provide golden ear plugs as the Over 100 Club prize??? 😂 (mw)
Lol, now that would be a grand idea. But also a "golden" opportunity to miss out on some interesting songs, lol. As long as it doesn't contain any wheels on the bus or 100 bottles of beer on the wall. Hehehe
Now, we are having song demands???!!! What is the world coming too!!!
Oh no no no. I don't want those songs, lol. It was a demand to not sing them :-D
Perhaps you could have a contest in which particularly prolific freewriters could post about how freewriting on Steemit has impacted their writing style and/or ability to write more creatively in general? I've read quite a few of them from writers that didn't seem to be inclined toward creative writing prior to it and some of what they've come up with has a lot of potential to turn into something larger.

You are in the drawing. That is an excellent idea!! We certainly have seen writers stepping into their own through the freewrites and the acceptance and encouragement practiced in the community. For sure something to ask them to about!
