Write FROM my Music CONTEST! Week Two
Welcome to Week Two of my new Steemit Contest, Write FROM my Music. Congratulations to @felt.buzz and @wandrnrose7 for their respective submissions to last week's contest, which led to both of them tying for first place. Great job to both of you!
There are changes to the rewards this week to try and encourage greater participation, particularily in regards to support for today's post. Details are below.

WRITE ME A STORY BASED ON MY SONG
All submissions must be original works of fiction / nonfiction written for this contest. To qualify you will need to follow these steps:
- Upvote and resteem this post.
- Listen to my song "Lighthouses / Maggie's Table" at Dsound using the link below.
- Write an original story based on my song between 50 - 1500 words in length.
- Make a post in your channel and post the link in the comment section here.

- 1st Place 40% of SBD from today's post
- 2nd Place 35% of SBD from today's post
- 3rd Place 25% of SBD from today's post
The first stage of the contest runs until this Friday Midnight EST North America. On Saturday by noon I will post the top three and then open the contest for voting of 1st place (2nd and 3rd will be based on how many votes for 1st each got, to keep it simple). This will run until Sunday Midnight. Monday noon I will announce the winners and pay out the prizes.
Please note I will be checking for duplicated content. I want original stories inspired by my music. This is the second week of the contest, but I'm still treating this as a trial stage. Your support and participation is vital to keep this contest going!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was busy offline for the past day... I've decided I will keep this going weekly, and if no one participates then the SBD from Monday's post will carry over to the next week's rewards. So yeah, linking to my profile works fine. And thanks for helping out, I really do appreciate it.

This is a nice concept.
Can I suggest that you put in a clause like "if I do not get up to 3 entries, the prize would be carried over to next week's rewards".
This could make anyone that is interested in participating to find two other participants if he or she is confident about winning. 😉
Just my thoughts on the matter.
Since it doesn't look likely there will be any entries by midnight tonight, I was going to carry it over to next week... But your suggestion of an up to three limit does make sense so I think I will do that. Thanks for your input!
@moneyinfant has added your contest to the list Steemit Writing Contests: Issue #12. The list is updated on a daily basis and your contest will remain on the list until its expiration - there's nothing you need to do.
The list was created to save writers the excessive amount of time spent searching through the #contest tag for writing contests. Now they can just come to the list each day, see new contests and use their time doing what they love - writing.
If you'd like to help spread the word about the Steemit Writing Contest list I'd really appreciate a resteem, but it certainly isn't necessary. The project is simply meant to help writers save time and contest creators attract more contestants.
