Mark my words: one day, when you'll less expect it, you will wake up from a nightmare and you'll see a pair of lusty popping eyes staring right at you, shining in the darkness. At that moment, you will understand that the faceless child is nothing compared to the Bananafish!

In this edition, we've been challenged by a narration in the form of a diary, an expedient not between the easiest ones in terms of completing the story: some of you let the diary answer, some others made another character intervene, writing on it, some others made the diary become an instrument of betrayal. As usual what I care is the content more than the form.

There was this faceless child waiting right beyond the threshold of the unknown realms. This, at least, was what the old man believed and wrote, bold as brass but in reality naive like a child playing with a toy and not observing what's happening in the room. I was expecting this element to be exploited together with the occultic setup - not necessarily alchemic.. and the sentence about the vibration, heat and green color is from Gustavo Rol, an Italian medium: a mysterious and charming personality.

What's boiling in the bananafish kitchen (the news!)

• Thank you all for your ongoing sustain!!! Even this edition @maverickinvictus gave visibility to the contest in the Steemgigs Contest Channel and @lynncoyle1, who curates for asapers, placed the contest in their channel. Then there's @steembasicincome who keeps inserting the contest between those linked to the project, thanks always @josephsavage. I'm limiting to put here some specific initiative, but you all are doing great in making this ongoing fiction workshop grow.

• Today I'm going back to share the SBD reward since I loved all your entries.
