Eeek! I did some "cartoon" filter on the photo before doing the snapchat 'dogs' filter and it just looks like I rubbed coffee grounds all over myself. I suppose that might be one way to get some caffeine??? Anyway puppy boobies:

I don’t get the whole “insult” where guys are called dogs in a derogatory way. I'm not currently addressing the "Dawg" type comments, but the old school 'men are such dogs' thing.

I mean, have you MET dogs? They’re loyal as hell, are happy to cuddle with you and will do just about anything they can think of to make you happy. That sounds like a GREAT man to me. Hell, a great human of any kind.

They’re generally fairly happy and seem to encourage healthy habits like not eating too much (don’t tell me they don’t try and get you to share your food. See? They’re just trying to get you to eat a little less = healthy = they care.) and they also encourage exercise more than any guy I’ve dated.

That being said, I suppose when it comes to talk dogs, I just think of the horribly ill fitting term of calling asshole men ‘dogs’ and that brings to mind all of those horribly cheesy, stupid pick up lines that they try to catch your interest. The fake flattery and drooling (Oh! I get it now, I’ve had drooling dogs as well) over you regardless of what you’re doing or wearing. It seems like its some competition to pick up the most girls.

But if you were talking actual talking dogs, like real dogs? I just picture “Hey! Hey! Hey! You’re HOME! I love you! I’m so HAPPY you’re HERE with ME! You wanna go for a walk? I love walks with you. You’re my favorite human ever!”

Then you’re talking an actual human guy and it’s more like, “Hey honey, is that you? Can you bring me a beer/soda/something from the fridge? Thanks, love you!”

Yeah, now I’m really wondering where the horrible habit of calling men ‘dogs’ came from.
