Original Works Contest; Iagon

This is an entry into originalworks' Iagon Writing Contest

Iagon is a decentralised, open sourced cloud computing and storage services platform. Nowadays, the need for computing power is constantly increasing, this is expected to rise due to current trends, such as big data.

What's so special?

Iagon will take advantage of unused computing power and storage. This will create

" a super-computer that can compete with any of the current cloud computing moguls."

This will work by using unused computing power and storage from data centers, computers and other IOT devices. This is believed to allow them to offer better rates than the current big boys, such as Google cloud and AWS.

Use cases:

Storage:

Cloud storage will allow companies and people to store data as and when they need it, without the need to pre-purchase it! This allows for expandablility and flexability, giving people and companies expandability. This also means that they don't need to maintain it, leading to easier usability! They also don't need good internet speeds or a stable internet connection to host, say, a web server! Another problem is security, but they have this sorted with SHA256 encryption, which is military grade. Also, they will spread a single file across multiple servers, meaning no one person can read the files. People sharing space will earn IAG tokens dependant on the amount of resources they contribute.

Computing:

Computing power is always in demand, with trends such as deep learning requiring immense amounts of computing power. This will also increase as artificial inteligence and facial recognition expand in popularity! At the moment it is hard for the small players and individuals to get access to these vast amounts of power, meaning they can't realise their projects, this is usually due to funding, and Iagon aim to solve this. Another thing is video processing, which is becoming more popular with YouTube, DTube, DLive and many other platforms requiring video processing facilities.

Smart Computing Grid:

This is the special part, this is the part which allocates the available resources across customers and makes sure that these resources are still available and have not gone offline!
