I've just got 1000 followers - gradual SBD gift to those who comment

in #contest7 years ago

Hi Dear Steemians, I hope you're doing well...
recently my account achieved 1000 followers and it was a phase I planned to get from the first day I registered here, to evaluate how I perform or what feedbacks I get from my audiences... I also ask for a feedback from my readers and somehow make it look like a contest, to appreciate your attention. these feedbacks also help other steemians who are new in steemit, to know what they're doing wrong or what are their powerpoints

so this is my question:

matter of fact I don't really recieve enough curation as I expect, although I see people getting more upvotes and post views with fewer number of followers, for example I get 30 views and 0.1$ upvote on my post (with 900 followers) and I check posts of others getting 100 views and up to 10$ upvotes (with just 50 followers)... so I really ask myself what is the main reason why I get less attention from my audience...
so here's the gift:

if you give me your opinions about my posts and the points in which lack of quality and blogging standards are significant, that causes not having feedback or audience's attention, I will put you in a list, checking your account everyday, to read and upvote all of your posts (not missing a single post), with maximum voting power of my account, and I continue this check and upvote cycle for 2 months
you can resteem or mention others to comment and give feedbacks to help them be in my everyday-check-and-upvote list.

Thank you all my followers
and
Thank you all steemians

best wishes
@bitpost

Hi, am new here, not up to a month old, but i have learnt that to get a audience, you need to always have a eye catching topic.
Secondly, the more you comment on people's post especially those on your feed the more they know you and want to check your blog.
Thirdly, people use resteem services example you can remove the https in front of the link of your post then add "re" your post will then be resteemed to some audience ( dont really help so much, but its better than nothing).
Fourthly, use tags that relate to your post
I dont post much, but i do lots of commenting and so far its ok.

Thanks, Yes I agree, I should deal more with other people's posts and comment and keep in touch more,
I didn't get the resteem part, can I resteem my own posts? i don't think so..can I?

Thanks for comment
@bitpost
@frankabelle

Yes you can, with resteemable. Edit the https:// and put in "re" and your post will be upvoted ( few cents) and resteemed ( to some audience @resteemable

You need to engage more of your audience through commenting more on the posts of those that follow you. Thanks @bitpost for opening up this to us.

Thanks for the comment, it will be appreciated...

Congrats on 1000 followers, you can add another to that list.
I also have a tough time figuring out why some post are rewarded better than others, but did notice the power of females. To use term "sex sells" loosely with no offense, I bartended my whole life and mostly always make more tips when I am teamed up with a female bartender.

Good luck and I hope to get 1k one day as well.

Great comment, yes even scientifically this is a fact as an effect of gender in influence of the media, but right now, I'm comparing myself with other male bloggers of steemit, so I don't really envy girls here,
thanks for the comment

@crypto4nwo

Congratulations. Keep it up.

Thanks my friend, wish u the bests as well

Congrats on you milestone!
I'm still trying to figure out how this all works, but @yohan2on's seem to be good advice. Especially hitting it off with the whales who have lots of voting power.

Good job with the 1K!
It's a nice milestone, and you should be proud of it if you aimed to do it.

The questionning you go through is a great idea and made me think about that video about how to succeed with online videos (momemtum, publicity, entrepreneurship view) :

Recommandations

To what I seen, on your profile and what I read about how to achieve sucess on steemit for content creator, here's some advices out of my head. Although I'm not an expert and don't have much followers and it's not really my goal, I just do it for fun and experience cryptos and the ideology behind.

  • You seem to have many different topics in your Thread, which makes a diversified brand, which is hard for people to completly follow you because they may be interested in only one of the topic you cover.
  • I would suggest that if you do it for celebrity, money or success, you need to be really focused on the topic that is really your true passion.
  • You cover a topic that isn't easy and already have tons of coverage (cryptos market and investment) which is hard since big celebrities already exist and you need to work twice as hard to raise above other already confirmed steemians. Maybe you should consider another topic with less competition.
  • You seem to follow a lot of people, which to that experienced steemian isn't a great idea (people perception, you should follow only people you really care about seeing in your feed, otherwise people feels that they are just a +1 and not someone that matther to you) :
    https://steemit.com/steemdev/@paulag/cracking-steemit-in-28-days-upcoming-course-extract-week-1-on-steemit
  • I would recommend to go out in the wild and engage deeply with people more than you produce content, you need real engagement and that takes efforts, many comment, helping other and maybe produce new content maximum once a day or once a week and resteem other content so that you focus on making your "brand" being know around.
  • Participate in contests of the topic you like is a great way to meet people
  • Discord chat is also a nice place to exchange, PAL network to get help is also nice
  • And finally, I would recommand to focus on one topic and preserve personnal topic for when you have a good active following

That is the advices I can thing out of my head, I hope it helps!
Good luck

That
Was
Amazing
great advices and clear points, and you really read and extracted the weak points, I really think the main problem is the broad categories of my topics (which I will narrow down to a certain set of more professional and especial topics) and then, as you said, sticking up to the topics in which there are already famous bloggers around among whom I can hardly be under spotlight,

thank you very mmuch my friend and I will be grateful for your comment

@orlandumike

I think you got my idea focus on a topics you are passionate about that ideally doesn't have too much competition. Although a little competition is good if you are in the early members of the community, you can help each others.

Participating in contests of that topic also show your skills, can earn you prices and will get you on the spot light.

It's a pleasure, thanks for the likes, be aware of your voting power.
Good tool for it :
https://steemworld.org/@bitpost
Vote between 5 and 10 votes per day max to keep your voting power healthy.

You just got a new follower for your great approach :-)
Gosh, do not worry, it is not you or your posts, quite often even those with a higher SP, to get more upvotes, are using the bots. With some of those bots, you do not get a message in the comments, some of them go incognito LOL

And, not only that, but if you upvote your post to a higher value right from the beginning, such post is visible in trending searches and then gets even more upvotes not from one's followers but from random readers of the trending posts.

Big congrats on your 1000 followers and keep on rocking here!!

Thank you @cryptoclick I hope I can improve my blogging skills using your advice

There is not much to improve, just use the stupid bots to your advantage lol You know, you can't fight it, join it ;-)

lol, you're right, I just give up and use stupid bots ;-D

I notice that you have very little Steem Power compared to your subscriber count. Steem Power = Influence. It makes you able to uvote your own posts more, as well as getting your posts more visible.

Thanks bro, yeah I just planned to raise my steem power from what I earn from steemit itself, so I didn't invest....I don't know if its because I don't trust the wallet or I'm challenging myself to become a better blogger, but anyway, it does'nt worth to power up unless my steem gets more than the 15 SP deligated power,..
so I'll power up soon

I totally get that. I didn't invest in Steem, myself. There's something inspiring about knowing that you've made everything from scratch just by contributing to the platform.

Well, my voting power is down to much below the recommended 85%, no choice though but to upvote you ;-)

Thank you sooo much
even your comment was so kindly useful, appreciated
I'll try to manage my voting power to use for your posts

WOW, please do not :-) How I see it, we need to use our voting power to make Steemit a better place. What I dislike most are not the voting bots, but the auto curation ones, but I guess they go with each other hand in hand... I think they are doing a lot of damage to the quality of Steemit posts and the fairness of the reward system. Big subject... LOL

You have 25 upsteemers during the last 7 days, total followers: 1033.
You do not have loyal followers http://steem.supply/@bitpost
make more competitions and games. few people will vote for the usual advertising altcoins and predicting prices. Do memes, keep commentators

Kindly show me an account who has,
I tend to believe that most of the Steemit followers are faithful to no one but themselves ;-)

Do not misunderstand me, there are more than many beautiful people on Steemit, but the following part here has some flows...

Sorry, good try ;-) 1 or 2 upvotes does not seem too loyal ;-) Plus, those names there are changing with our every new post.

don't worry I'll upvote u whenever I check steemit
plus, don't worry about missing your id when your name changed,
i have links of your profiles in my bookmark

so I think most of the times I got upvotes from strangers, not followers

Good point, very useful link, thanks,and yes sure, I will reassign my frequently being posted topics

@bitpost, just in case you do not know that website yet, the above stats from@yura81 are taken from here: http://steem.supply/@cryptoclick
Just replace my username with yours there, and click on Comments.
Those names there change constantly and now I already see in my Top 20 Most Loyal your username too. Thanks so much for your upvotes and know please that I will be one of your most loyal too :-)

There's another trick I had in mind from this post, since I put u all in a list to upvote every single post of yours for at least two months, it get's logical if you support me to get more steem power to upvote u more, to appreciate more..
;-)

Thank you all
@bitpost

I am not sure, maybe I am being too much, but I rather people read me than only upvoted me...

And yes, you have a good point, I too do my best to visit and upvote people who interact with me and my posts and comments. This is building a better and stronger community, right?
