As a preacher, I have realize that people tend to see preaching to be delicious yet it is some of the time not similarly as simple as it appears to be, as usual, the "field is constantly greener from the opposite side".

As I go to preach, I expect three types of reactions as he goes out to preach, they are: 1. Warmth welcome 2. Lukewarm welcome 3. Rejection

As I approach people, I wish and demand the first, while I can manage the second, but no preacher is comfortable with the last.

As it is customary to me, I went out today as usual to preach and the experience was not different from what it previously used to be, It was adventurous because all I expected came to pass both the good, bad and ugly.

As It is my ardent desire, I received warmth welcome from certain groups of individual and that alone was a booster, they did not only welcome me, but they encouraged me and some were even giving me material gifts.

As I did expected also, I also met some groups of like minds who rejected me, when I was persuading them, they agreed to listen to me on one condition, that they were hungry and I should by them food. As I waited their spokes person said;

As a man of God buy food for us, we are hungry and hungry men do not shout alleluia.

As soon as they were done speaking, I told them how much I had with me and it could not buy them food and they told me to go away.

As I walked towards the saloon, I met some girls who welcomed me with levity just to know what this one has to say, but after sharing the Word of God with them, they became very happy and open that they asking me to pray for them for their different intentions and petitions.

As an experienced preacher, I want to acknowledge that Nigerians are exceptionally religious, liberal and an extremely happy individuals. As a young preacher, if you are out there having doubt about preaching in Nigeria, fear not for I was more frighten than you are, however when I gave it a trial, I was triumphant.

As I conclude this episode, it is pertinent to let you know that there were challenges, yet in spite of the minor difficulties, it was a fascinating enterprise for me. As I did not lament going out today.

Never have I put myself in the boots of a preacher before so everything you wrote was new to me... I can only imagine how it must feel to be (constantly) rejected despite only wanting good. And I can understand why you can never get used to it.

Thank you very much for your entry, and telling us some more about what it feels like to be a preacher.

Thanks you Sir the acknowledgement.
